    Half water half gas

From everything I have been reading, success all depends on the type of PCM. Basically older cars will not see any effects, due to the lack of O2 sensors, and some EEC4 type vehicles would see little effects because the o2s don't control fuel delivery as much as newer EEC5 and up vehicles...and...

    Are you protected? Insuance questions

Depends on your coverage.....if it's bare minimum, you most likely don't have theft insurance, and will get nothing if car is stolen. However, what year and condition is it in? I ask because if it's an older Civic and doesn't have a high book value, then it might not be worth insuring for...

    Coils

What are your mods? Stock ignition is pretty solid....I actually removed all my MSD stuff recently and have suffered no ill effects. I know more than a handful sub 12 cars that run stock ignition.

best way to clean rusty heads

OT: The "click to enlarge picture" function cracked me up.....you click the link and it opens a small window where the image is the exact same size as the one ON the page.

Help Emergency! Dealer wants to swindle my mom!

Yea I called today...very expensive for a motor by itself. That price sounded like an assy...but I'm comparing it to Ford parts. Either way, it is a motor that is available outside for much cheaper...that's the route I would go, and do the labor yourself. I wonder if it could just be...

Help Emergency! Dealer wants to swindle my mom!

That's motor alone, or motor/regulator assembly? Just curious.

Help Emergency! Dealer wants to swindle my mom!

I checked on-line, you can get the motor seperatly from your local parts store, should run you around $70. The A1 Cardone part number is 47-1103 for the left front motor. From the looks of it, the motor is held in with three bolts....as is the norm. Your best bet is to remove the door panel...

Well Toto, Kansas sucks (weather, hail damage, body repair)

Ah, small molding IN the groove....that looks awesome. You just made up my mind. Right now mine is white, but when I get around to taking it off the road for the body work, I want to go black. Black body, flat black moldings, darkened head/tail lights....and keep my silver rims. Awesome car...

Well Toto, Kansas sucks (weather, hail damage, body repair)

That is a beautiful freaking coupe...super clean! Do you have any other pics of the side of the car with no moldings? I have been thinking about ditching them when I do my body work...just haven't see enough dark coupes with them missing to see if I like it.

    How to Trade Cars?

Or notarize each bill of sale as a "gift". No taxes on a gift....that's how I sold my mother my last car. I wrote a bill of sale stating I was giving the car to her, had it notarized, and she paid just a flat fee for title transfer.

Anyone ever order some of the black interior panels from Late Model resto??

The center console arm rest pad is good, I like mine. Fit pretty solid. The door panel arm rest pads....well, those suck. Check your local dealers, I was lucky enough to find a place that had the old vert TSB kit, which was two new pads and hardware, white. SEM vinyl dye fixed that, perfect...

    maaco bc/cc quality questions

If you are just looking to make it "presentable" then yes, an el'cheapo paint job will do the trick. My car was originally white, but the paint was so bad stains would actually seep into the paint and stain. I was just looking to make the car presentable...a paint job that could actually be...

    Is it my imagination?

To add to that, in an unmodified, perfectly running, vehicle....the recommended octane will net you the BEST mileage, period. People with a perfectly running, unmodified, vehicle that is engineered to run on 87 octane, will typically get worse mileage if you use higher octane, mainly due to the...

Ever have your CAI fall off? How did the car act?

Yea, mine never stalled....just had slight hesitations during acceleration....at times the idle would fall like it might stall, but never really dropped below 500rpm. I'm hoping this is my issue, I don't want to put the filter on and have nothing change. I fixed a vac leak and a dizzy gear...

I know people tend to ask a lot for black interior...but this is ridiculous!

Had the same thing happen to me....sort of. After spending countless hours dying various pieces of my interior black, spending a lot of time making it look perfect.....a few months later I found a complete black interior COUPE at the boneyard. I ended up selling all the pieces on eBay....made...

You can find 2.3's with black interior for much less....for the entire car.

    Blue Oval Industries

Don't rule out checking the dealership first....you would be surprised how many parts are still available from the dealer...and quite a few of them cheaper than places like 50resto. I was going to buy some window switch plates and a key-set from 50resto....decided to check OEM and found it was...

Ever have your CAI fall off? How did the car act?

Just curious to see if anybody has ever had the filter on their "inside the fender" "CAI" fall off.....if so, how did your car react? When I first bought my car, it had some cheap CAI on it, I replaced it with a "Densecharger" pipe (Home Depot PVC pipe) intake because he was throwing it away...

Warning, dumb question: FRP cams, steel or iron?

Awesome! Thank you. Now I know I can use this gear....hopefully get it on there with no major problems, and get this thing back on the road tomorrow.
