JMod: Yay or Nay? Gimme Some Opinions

    2004 GT's have a 4R75W (my 2001 has a full swap from a 2004, so I do also now!), S197's have the 5R55S. There's is a 4speed w/ an overdrive gear, all of the 4R's are 3speed w/ an overdrive gear.

    Throttle body opinions

A little bit, but if you've got a little more cash an intake manifold would get you much better gains, especially on the top end.

How much abuse can these cars take?

If you have an automatic, the sky is the limit regarding thrashing the car. I have had mine for 50k miles, just about to turn over 100k soon. I change the oil with Mobil1 synthetic + Mobil1 or Motorcraft filters and all is well. Change out your fuel filter, air filter, and other essential fluids...

I drilled a hole at the very bottom in each section of the tail lamp housing. This will allow water to drain out.

    New Times with the Blower

I would keep your stock gearing, since you're working with a roots blower, and throw on a stall that flashes into the RPM range of the meaty part of your torque curve. If you've got traction you could easily knock off 4 tenths.

So, who else blew apart all of their bushings on MAC upper / lower control arms

Did you grease the bushings prior to initial installation, and did you grease them regularly throughout your use?

What do you think of Granatelli LCAs?

I've been running them for 2 years, over about 20,000 miles. I keep the bushings greased, which is very easy as they have quick connect grease fittings on each bushing housing. Not sure what the other guys problems are. I know a lot of folks on this board love overpaying for $hit at MM, but...

    question for the proz

Have you tried hitting it with MAF cleaner? Cleaning the pin connections, etc? If so, then it may be time for that Lightning MAF + tuner. I also hear the SCT MAF's are nice.

    93 octane tune vs 87

The tune will advance your timing and add some fuel. I'm not too sure if jumping from 87 to 93 would provide an increase in compression big enough to mention.

How many of us have their Stangs paid off?

Bought on August 23rd, 2007. $10,300.00 cash in hand. I will never get rid of this car. Ever.

How much rwhp, full exhaust and sct tune?

20 rwhp, 25 if your tuner is dank. But, there are lots of good gains beneath the peaks. The low to mid range torque increases will be nice too.

anyone else getting their a** kicked by pollen

I can look out my window at the office and watch pollen collect on my car throughout the day. There is normally at least an inch of those pollen worms covering my hood and roof.

    Sound Deadening

I went to lowe's and bought this generic sound deadening mat that they have. I bought 30 square feet and it barely covered the trunk (entire trunk, except the lid) and back seat area. I threw down double layering and the car is significantly quieter at highway speeds. At least 2 or 3 layers on...

I mean it has low miles but come onnnn

The window sticker is terrible, and this guy is out of his mind. I would think $10k would be the max on a new edge bullitt.
