    I need a custom or 2-piece wheel

I'm looking for a few companies to check in on regarding a custom or 2-piece wheel setup. My 1992 Mustang LX, with 1994 spindles and SSBC Big brake system combo will require some special attention. Any recommendations for companies would be greatly appreciated.

    Flaming Mustang

Back to the initial subject matter of your message: - You'll really want/need to understand what your vacuum readings are before you start changing other items/settings. This is a common problem with idling issues and if you begin changing other settings, you could dig yourself a deeper hole...

    Flaming Mustang

Couple deas / considerations 1) Are you running a chip or some other aftermarket EEC tuner ? If so, include in your signature for future reference. What are you using ? 2) FP should be set to 39 with the vacuum line disconnected from the rail 3) Timing should...

my worked 5.0 wont idle right.

You've not indicated that you have acquired a vacuum reading yet nor told us what that reading was. Vacuum is a very common issue for idling issues. Since you cannot keep engine running, I would open throttle body using adjuster screw ever so little so idle can be maintained while you're...

first 4.6 for me, odd problem

I'm a 4.6 newbie and one thing I learned recently is that you may get a P1000 DCT during and/or after you Clear the DCT's. It's my understanding this code can be produced anytime the PCM is accessed. I don't know what type of unit you're using to read the codes, but my SCT will not clear the...

    SOHC conversion to DOHC

    - I'm a newbie to this modular engine technology. - We have an aging 2001 GT (80K - still alot of live let to it) - I'd like to educate myself on the details of converting from a naturally aspirated 4.6 SOHC to a 5.4 DOHC (rebuild). - The purpose of this thread is to find...

my 5.0 is doggy I NEED HELP!

Guys, For what it's worth, it's helpful for us reading your posts to know what, if any, modifications you've performed on the car. Typically, when a problem occurs, we like to ask "What did you last change ?"

    Clutch Problems

In the least, there are 2 spots where the clutch cable can hook to the quadrant on the interior. Check to see if you jumped on the first/(most forward) slot. This could explain why the clutch is not being fully disengaged. If so, you'll want to consider unfastening/loosening the cable at...

    DTC Code Master list ???

You know... I have the hard copy shop manuals (volumes I & II)... and admittedly, it can be a bitch to find what I'm looking for even with the an index. These two books stacked is around 5-6". An electronic copy would be brilliant when you consider the search capabilities. Really a great...

    DTC Code Master list ???

Can someone provide or point me in the right direction for finding a comprehensive list of DTC codes?? We own a 2001 Mustang GT. Just got an SCT scanner, so I'd like to be prepared... Off topic:: When I perform a search within this and other forums for the string 'dtc' I get no hits...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Gotcha... now I understand what you're getting at and why we had a disconnect. This link is specific to the Onboard Diagnostic behavior and this does make sense. What I was referring to is Adaptive Learning that is typically used by an ECU/EEC/PCM computers to capture information over a...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Only the TB & Upper plenum were replaced 8 months back. When the problem originally began to surface, I replaced plugs, COPs, and cleaned the air filter, MAF meter, and TB. Then I replaced the TPS. None of these relatively cheap solutions fixed the problem. Then I purged the KAM...and...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Problem Solved 8+ months back I replaced the stock TB and upper plenum with a combination from C&L. Pretty much a plug and play "WITHOUT" resetting KAM by disconnecting the battery. I just reinstalled the original TB/plenum, flushed the KAM, built the KAM and now the car is working...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Was thinking... 8-9 months ago, I replaced the stock throttle body & upper plenum and a C&L unit. Now I'm wondering if that resulted in minor changes to my PCM KAM since that time. I'm going to put my original unit back on, disconnect battery for a while, and see if this mitigates the...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Patman, I did find 2 minor vacuum leaks and repaired them, but that provided nominal improvement. I started checking plug wells...2 from each side...they're dry and clean as a whistle. I agree with you on the O2 sensors... I was reaching...If they failed to work altogether, I would...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Good points... I just cleared the KAM (ie. disconnected battery for 2 hours)... now it's running worse. Even WOT is worse. Almost like the Keep Alive Memory was helping the car prior to clearing KAM... Really starting to wonder if O2 sensors have had better days. They are original on...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

It's NOT the TPS Cleaned MAF again... I've heard about K&N oil messing these up sometimes = No Help Disconnected battery, allow KAMs to zero out. Will restart in 1 hour. Will replace fuel filter, but I seriously doubt that's the issue as I can here gargling at idle. It's a cheap...

Poor CL behavior, WOT = OK, help ???

Sorry... didn't have the specific technical term... I replaced the COPs & plugs. As for cleaning the MAF, there is a product called Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner and it's made by CRC. And it is a good idea to use for a higher mileage vehicle such as ours. Particularly when you're having...
