    You can have a 289 block and a 1985+ timing cover, this would accept the pump that has the lower hose on the drivers side. What are the dimensions or your radiator? The big block radiators were 24 inches. So you could have a small block engine but a big block radiator.

    Check out heidts for their 4 link suspension also, pick some of their subframe connectors. That will let you take those curves with a lot less body flex.

    Call your rack manufacturer and ask what their pump is rated at, then choose the pump that is closest to those numbers.

    As for the motor, a 351W can make plenty of power. But with power comes great responsibility... Like the responsibility of finding a 9 inch rear and upgrading to disc brakes.

    If it is a 9 inch, it is probably a small bearing, 28 spline axle version. You can tell because of the tapered axle housing.

    Its not my cup of tea, but to each his own. I would still love to see build pics. I think the mod would look better on the first or second gen cars. The on in the pic is just too long, looks like a bannanna :)
