I love foxes but...THIS IS MY DREAM CAR!!

I think I'd take Coletti's Boss '9 Mustang, but to each his own. I heard X2C went out of business

Noticeable Difference between 3.55s and 3.73s?

    I opted for FRPP 4.10s with my DD 5.0, but I also changed to a T5Z tranny with a 2.95 1st gear and 0.63 5th :nice:

Any reasons to keep 5.0 after 4.6l buy?

I hear ya there, I often have to decide on which head-turner to drive...the four-eyed '85 or my modded classic....course if fuel gets much higher it'll be the Focus for a while :D

how does the fox 5.0 compare to the 99+ 4.6 ?

Stock for stock: 05-06> 99-04> 87-93, however you'll find few enthusiasts leave their Mustangs "stock" ....as far as modding goes, you will find the general consenus around here gives the 5.0 the nod for cheapest to modify and most aftermarket support. And while the 5.0 was by far the least...

Opinions on 429 - Coworker is selling

Actually the garden variety '69-'71 429 4V was rated at 360 gross HP and 480 TQ and the 460s from the same years were rated slightly higher, both with 10.5:1 compression....bear in mind that family vehicles of that era weighed considerably and strong bigblocks were chose to serve...

Opinions on 429 - Coworker is selling

Dark is right...milling the heads will raise the compression (and '69 -'71 460 engines were rated at ~10.5:1 compression to begin with) and painting the ports to improve "oil flow" makes no sense. The crank might be cleaned up with a polish but again that depends on the amount of rust already...

Who would win? Me vs. old school muscle

I love musclecars (especially mine :D) but you should win this one hands down. Big blocks have lots of potential (and 396s were available from Chevy in 325/350/375 HP versions) but it doesn't sound like he has many mods and the '66 Caprice is hardly a lightweight.

    1/2" spacers and 275/40 M/T's

VERY nice car and clean....nice offset with the spacers too (I run the same size tires on my '85). Only thing I'd change if it were mine would be larger tips and dark fuel tank. BTW, how much ya sprayin'? Larger exhaust tips would look mean on that car with those tires (Quick Photohack...

Finally managed to get some pics (redfire GT)

Nice car...I like your wheel choice (I'd like to see someone make a set of deep dish versions of that wheel).

    Rollin' on 18's?

I am sure you could probably find a local muffler shop that had 3" - 3.5" outlet tips with 2.25" inlets and then probably weld em into place...larger bore exhaust tips also have a tendency to deepen the exhaust note too.

    Rollin' on 18's?

I would either use a 2.5" aluminized or stainless system that exited just before the rear wheels or run the exhaust out the back with a set of 3" or 3.5" slash-cut polished tips :nice:

    Rollin' on 18's?

Car looks great just like that...all business (although I would do something with the exhaust) With the trend today being (no traction) low profile tires and 18" & up rim sizing everywhere you look, it is nice to see the old school look once in a while :nice:

NO2 or Blower: Power adder decision

I have bolted up blowers and nitrous for customers and friends and like 'em both for different reasons. I personally run an NOS system on mine (adj 100-150 shot) and outside of those pesky trips to get the bottle filled, I love it. Sure the $40 dollar fill-ups add up, but nitrous is a great...

    460 in a 71-73 Stang?

Drop a modded big block in there, then watch their eyes pop while your 4th gen shows 'em taillights! :D

    Rollin' on 18's?

Love the orange fastback on Torque Thrusts...sweet I personally can't stand late model rims on classics, I'd rather save up a lil extra cash and do something original, but hey to each his own ;)

    1969 Mach 1 "Blackened"

Obviously lots of hard work but not my taste at all; and why do the wheels set so far inside the wheelwells....fat man on roller skates look IMO. I'd have personally used a Boss hoodscoop and dropped a blown Cleveland in there or even a 429...to each his own.
