    Control Arm Torque Specs

The Haynes manual says "Front lower control arm pivot bolts/nuts: 141-191 ft/lbs." It doesn't mention anything about tightening them under load.

I have $1500 to spend!! What should I buy!?!?

Do you mean H like the stock midpipe or you bought an aftermarket H? If it's aftermarket, it's not worth swapping to an X, you'll only gain maybe 3hp at real high rpms, and probably loose a little bit of low end. If you have the factory H, then switching to an X will help you out.

I have $1500 to spend!! What should I buy!?!?

I still have the factory 3.27's on mine, but from what I've heard, if you're planning on staying N/A then 3.73 or 4.10's are good, search for videos of each and there's an rpm calculator out there that'll tell you at X speed, you'll be at X rpm. If you ever plan on getting a s/c (or turbo) then...

    Best LT Headers

Why not MAC? I just installed a set of their longtubes and I love them. I've seen people post that they've had them for years and years with no problems. Plus, you can get ceramic coated ones for only about $450, and the HTS at $350 brand new.

Do you have stock/shorty headers or longtubes?

    Just Installed Headers, now problems?

Yea, I actually went to Ford and dropped $50 on new studs with locking nuts, since the ones that were in there were all rusted. I just started it up again and the driver's side of the engine bay feels warmer than the passenger's, it could just be my imagination, I don't know. Are there any...

    Just Installed Headers, now problems?

I just finished installing my mac l/t's and o/r prochamber, to compliment my existing mac catback. I started it up last night. I know I'm supposed to have it retuned with the addition of these parts, but I took it for a very easy 1 mile drive just to hear it. I was very disappointed, I had a...

    buyer help!

Granted you're buying a GT, not a Cobra, the 99's and 00's are virtually identical, and same with the 01-04's. The 01-04's have black (better looking) headlights, with more aggressive hood and side scoops. The most talked about difference is that midway through 01 they changed the waterpump, so...

Looking for pics of LED Taillights installed...

I like that 3rd brake light, but don't care for the headlights or taillights. Don't listen to people who say you're dumb for getting them though, if that's what you think would look nice, then go for it! If you don't like them, you could always turn around and sell them and get something else...

    Vortech quality?

I'd call Summit though because it's most likely a problem on their end, not Vortech's.

    Shorty prochamber doesn't fit???

Alright, I bought some grade 8 bolts with washers and locking nuts. I'll try and get the old studs out of the flanges with vice grips and pb blaster tonight. It looks like I'll still have to "encourage" the pipes on the header end of the prochamber to come together about half an inch. Thanks...

    Shorty prochamber doesn't fit???

So I'm finishing up my week-long Mac longtube install and everything's done now... Except the prochamber won't fit! It seems they made the header end of the prochamber too wide, should I try and bend the pipes closer to eachother? Does anyone have any other advice for me? By the way, I...

    Real Quick K-Member Removal Question...

I'm installing my longtube headers and am going off of this write-up: http://www.fnsweet.com/garage/lt_install/index.shtml On step 15 when it says "Remove the nut attaching the motor mount to the K-member using an 18mm socket..." Is that a mistake in size? Mine is bigger than 18mm, looks...

    most embarrasing loss

I got too excited while racing an STi, I punched the gas and all my wheels did was spin during 2nd gear. I saw him just pull away. I felt like such a ricer saying, "you got me man, I couldn't get traction." :nonono:

    Engine swap now no a/c

Was the 1st time you've tried the a/c since last year after you installed the engine? If that's the case, maybe you just have a tiny leak. I'd check and see if the compressor pulley moves when you have the a/c on. If the pulley spins then stops then spins then stops, it's probably really low on...

    Should I go Longtube?

Well, I think for now I'll buy the o/r prochamber then sometime within the next 2 years I'll either buy a catted pipe, change back to stock for emissions, or sell the car. I'm really looking for a smooth, rumbly tone that's definitely not obnoxiously loud. I'd accomplish this with the o/r...
