    HP!!!

If you got an A4LD (auto), I would say do a T5 swap. This would help improve fuel economy and free up a few ponies. The other thing as some have pointed out is, think about a 2.3T swap. I actually got better fuel econoy with my SVO than I did with my 93' 2.3L w/A4LD. And that is with me flooring...

    ignition tune up

I never had to unbolt anything to do my plugs. Just use a few extentions and buy a foot long pice of rubber fuel line. I forget the fuel line size but make sure it can hold a spark plug tight when you stick the plug wire side of a plug inside of it...the threaded end is outwards from tubing...

    Problem!!!! Lack of HP!!!

Ditto, the only gain I noticed was top end RPMS was a little nicer. It's like Red said, you either have to do a 2.3T swap or break open the motor. You can also bolt a bottle on it as well but in the long run it's probaly cheaper to swap motors...also swap in a T5 if you got an A4LD.

    91-93 2.3 guys

Every state is different but it's required here in Texas. I had some issues passing inspection when I pulled mine off for a CAI kit. You can rig something up if you have to have if for a visual...as for cold starts, I never had an issues without mine but I also live in Texas.

How to build an 11sec car in 60 days......

What a pice....since I like you, I'll glady take it off you hands for free :D J/K dude, that is a pretty nice set up you got going on there 351Coupe. As for the J3 chip Stinger, out side of the mods, do you also need the Elevation of the person to program/burn the chip? PS, I like the...

how many HP can a 2.3L turbo engine make ?

I remembered the Tall deck block/Head but for got all about the stroker kit. It's got some 125lbs inkectors that probaly cost a few bux as well.

    should I buy it?

The only thing I can add to the above, is that clunking could be bad U-joints. They're not that much ( 10.00 - 25.00 bux I guesas) and sometimes not that hard to change but they shouldn't go unchanged to long if they're bad. As for the miles, the 2.3's are pretty tough and durable. Just keep up...

    Motor pics

All I want to know is.....when are you going to clean mine  :D I try and keep mine clean but it's a huge PITA to keep anything clean in West Texas.

how many HP can a 2.3L turbo engine make ?

Yes, That car is like a Legend around here. Anyways, I'm pretty sure Joe's motor isn't a Lima version of the 2.3 motor...the Lima is what we've all used or is using that came stock in cars like the Pinto, TC, and SVO's. I think his motor is a complete aftermarket motor that shares some...

how many HP can a 2.3L turbo engine make ?

Thats that 735rwhp 2.3T I was talking about. The guy's name is John dell and he lives in the next town over. We run across him everyonce and a while at the local track. Anyways, Keep in mind thats a long block 2.3T he's using and God knows how much money he's got under the hood of that car. The...

will an 89 auto tranny, swap into a 92?

Damn, I'm glad you guys chimed in :D I completely forgot about the lock up converter. I've slept a pretty long time before I had to think about this stuff.

how many HP can a 2.3L turbo engine make ?

Isn't Joe's motor a Miget motor? I'm not real sure it's a Lima 2.3 but who knows but I think he runs 8's with FULL interrior! Also, I got a local here who did 735rwhp doing 9's but using an aftermarket tall deck 2.3 block, Esslinger head, and a huge turbo. Those blocks are hard to come by but...

    *PICS* What about this SVO?

Long time no read lol Ya, I kept the stangs around for a while but it got to be a PITA having all those cars around. I just don't see how 351coupe does it lol Anyways, I was going to get an 03/04' Cobra but went with the Harley for more room. Just making sure he and everyone else was...

    engine swap 2.3L to 5.0

It's been a freaken long time ok so don't quote me to much on this. You really want to use a turbo block and head....the block has an Oil return line already drilled and set up for a turbo. The N/A block would be a PITA to do but I'm sure it could be done. Also, The N/A head will work but...

will an 89 auto tranny, swap into a 92?

They should both be A4LD's I would think and just simply swap.

    *PICS* What about this SVO?

This isn't SVOCA and people are intitled to their opinions. When I first saw the 79-86 stangs, I thought the same thing. I told my self I would NEVER drive something like that. One day I needed something that got better MPG than my 4x4 Tahoe, and found me a 93' LX coupe 2.3L w/A4LD. I fell...

    Turbo GT, SVO differences

There's some guys I haven't talked with in a while. I trust TurboFord and have actually met a few of them in person. It was JaimeN who helped me do my first tune up on my SVO when I drove down to San Antonio for a Turboford event. I never made it to the track but I had fun hanging out with Jaime...

    Turbo GT, SVO differences

Who uses the Knock sensor?? That is one of the first cheap mods you can do to the car. The KS gets all kinds of false information and retarts timming to help save the motor..even if it doesn't need saving. As for if the sqaures are better than the inlines...there really isn't any dyno...

    *PICS* What about this SVO?

Congrats, the 85.5/86's are a nice find indeed and that was a good price as well. Just get you a nice boost controller, boost gauge and FMIC. Then crank the boost up a little and have some fun with that bad boy. PS, I think the stock Fogs will say something like made in France or Belguim.
