Anyone With an '85 SVO Help Me Out?

The 84' SVO came with a 3.45 rear gear and the rest was 3:73's. Anyways, a 7.5 may not hold up to the torque that a V8 can dish out. I woud stick with your exsisting 8.8 rear end and simply convert it to a 5lug. I think people simply use axle/brake parts off a Ford Ranger to do this with...

    Ford Dropping the 'Cobra' Name

I thought that was just for that car only and not perminently loosing the Cobra? It was to be the second car SVT worked on that didn't had SVT stamped on it. Anyways, I think it would be a foolish thing to drop the Cobra name for good. Just my .02's on it. Ray

I Am New!! And Have A Mustang With A Couple Of Questions

I must have missed this but what year of 2.3L do you have? up to 90's came with 88 hp and the 91-93's came with 105 -110 hp. The main difference between the two motors is the cam shaft which is a roller shaft on the newer motors. Just swap follower/cam shaft from a 91-93 2.3L DP or Ranger...

What the heck is a oil separator?

I guess if you really wanted to you could make one for it. Just get an oil seperator for a air compressor and a 3/8 elbow. This will work ten times better than what the 2.3's came with. Although you will have to empty it every once and a while. I had to do this to my Harley truck but it sucks...

oh I love it when ppl think a 5.0 in a mustang is the only way to go.

Damn this makes me ashamed to have ever own a 2.3T or 2.3L :bang: It's people like this who gives 2.3 owners a bad rep  I qwonder how many 5.0L guys has reemed this guy's butt out before  He drops a charge that the 5.0L are unstable but yet doesn't explain why? He simply points...

    Help me win an argument.

It's kinda hard for me to explain how it does this and still be a non traclok. It's something to do with the drive shaft off and someone holding on to the yoke while someone spins the tires to check for sure.

oh I love it when ppl think a 5.0 in a mustang is the only way to go.

I like both motors my self :flag: I can see this turning into another Mustang hate on Mustang tread  I've beaten a few 5.0Ls my self with a 2.3T and got beat by a few 5.0Ls as well. These 2.3Ts are extremely awsome motors but like all motors, they got limitaions. Also, any car...

    Engine Troubles

The problem is, the car was running good before you got the trans rebuilt ( minus what the A4LD was doing) and the header installed. I'm willing to bet the problem is some how connected to this stuff and nothing else. >check the transmession fluid level >Check the vaccum lines to the A4LD...

    Engine Troubles

I thought that is how they came stock j/k :D Anyways, I would run a code check, both Key on and Key off. Also double check your soidering on that extended wire(s) to the O2 sensor, it could be a cold joint. While you're under the hood, check for vaccum leaks, the A4LD has a single vaccum...
