    5.3l lsx in 65 stang

I was confused and made a mistake. I thought OP was this guy: 1966 MUSTANG FASTBACK Ron is building the LSx powered, C5 front, torque arm rear on the $6K budget. OP is pipe dreaming.

    5.3l lsx in 65 stang

FWIW, OP is building this car on a $6K total budget. All of it. He has more skills than most of us, but six dimes is nuts.

    wheels on a little dollar??

You need to be careful of the Cherokee wheels. Some of them clear the brake calipers, some don't. There is a guy around the corner with a Ranger who has a pimp set of OE ford 17" wheels I'd love to own............but I've never seen outside of his Ranger.

Good Brake Serive In San Jose

I'm sure there's a Pep Boys or a Firestone or a Goodyear around the corner from where you are. Is this the general answer to the general question you asked?

    another alignment question "Toe In"

Option 1 - call a tow truck Option 2 - use a tape to measure from one line of lugs to another. Just pick some part of the tread you can get to and identify. You don't need pads to do a driveway alignement. You can do one with four flooring tiles (two for each side) with a piece of...

    Paint Recommendation

I think the single stage paint has more depth. If you're gonna drive the car a lot, forget it. Two stage is the way to go because you can abuse it so much. I miss the Imron I used to buy in the 1980's.

Compression Test results...What do you think?

If you're going to stuff a cam inside a 20 year old engine with abnormally low compression, I have just one question............. Why? Don't touch it and drive it around or go through it.

broken upper control arm shaft bolts

You should be able to unbolt the spring perch from the control arm (with the shock still installed - DO NOT REMOVE THE SHOCK UNLESS YOU COMPRESS and REMOVE THE SPRING BEFORE YOU TAKE THE CONTROL ARM OFF) unbolt the other side of the cross shaft, and swing the control arm away. That bolt pressed...

    modern parking brake classic stang

I got super lucky and ******ed up the whole center floor from a 2003 convertable (including the handle, the brackets, the cable, AND the floor) that was ten minutes from the trash (my customer was clipping a wrecked convertable). The battery is dead on my camera now, but I'll be posting...

    LS1 heads

Those LSx engines make monster rip with minimal hassle. If I was sick enough to want to build 1) another car and 2) a bowtie that's the only engine choice I'd run.

KYB GasAJusts in front/GR2 in rear combo

I'm going to spit the extra coin out for the Bilstiens, but if I was really on a squeeky budget, I think the GRII is okay. I have no idea what the white ones are valved for, but it's way overdamped for anything short of 5 leafs and maybe doing Dukes of Hazzard jumping.

    Opinions needed on Paint ideas

You find a white guy in a body shop, he'll be a excon and a recovering substance abuser. And he won't be worth a s***. Everytime. At least in SoCal.
