    I've been mildly concerned as well about my gas mileage (2011 GT, 6MT, Brembo and 3.73's). I've been getting 16-18 mpg. She's just clearing 1800 miles and I was pretty gentle the first 1000. I'm starting to get on it more now and I hope that loosens things up a bit (plus its wicked fun)...

    Cool! Thanks for the follow-up/update. I waited until I cleared 1200 miles before turning TC off...plus its still been pretty cold here (temps around 40s during the day). Got 1500 miles on her now and I'm starting to open her up and play a bit :nice: Amazing car all around!!!

    According to the 2011 Mustang GT owner's manual, very little break-in is required for these cars. I believe it said that (almost exactly) and said to vary highway speeds for the first 1000 miles. That's it (if I recall correctly).

    From what I have read, the base model GT drops a bit in price where the premium GT goes up about $200. There are some exterior color changes (dropped mineral grey and added a yellow, IIRC). That and the addition of a locking gas cap accessory are the only things I have noticed.
