    Sounds like a nice car! I would not worry about the gears on a SCed car. I think you will have plenty of torque on tap to take care of your daily needs :) You can always do a gear swap down the road if needed....

    A little TLC and a semi professional ad would help that car sell a lot faster! I don't think having the dirty car on a lift in a cluttered garage accompanied by a description that mentions the flaws and "oh by the way it happened to be in a few magazines and ads" really gives potential buyers...

    Sorry to hear about your blowout. Without seeing pictures, I can't speculate on the reason for the failure. I would try Tirerack.com I am a big fan of the Mich Pilot Sport PS2's Not cheap, but a great all around tire.

    I would use the 245/45/16 instead of 245/50/16 (sidewall is too tall and looks goofy)

    I don't know what size tire you need, but make sure you have sub-frame connectors and you weld the torque boxes/get torque box reinforcements if you plan to run sticky tires and launch the car hard.
