Now explain this to me, what happens when you put the motor weight on it? Rubber squishes more then poly. Go ahead say it......D'OH!!!! Lol. The Prothanes do raise the motor slightly. Did on mine at least when I installed my LT's
GT Tb's have 55MM Bores like you said. GT500 TB's have 60MM bores. BBK upgrade for the GT has 62MM bores. BBK upgrade for the GT500 has 65MM bores.
FRPP does not make an adapter kit. They will sell you the GT500 TB and you can buy an adapter from somewhere else.
Ok guys here are some pics. Sorry for the quality, no camera in college so the best I could do with my cell.
The whole system and everything included:
The weld quality. This is consistent throughout the entire header and H-Pipe. It looks outstanding. Inside and out. They back purge the...
I received them today.... I am BLOWN AWAY!!! The workmanship on these long tubes are incredible. All the welds are flawless and perfectly flat. The welds inside the tubes at the flange are all ported and the collecter looks incredible. I will take some cellphone pictures when my room mate wakes...
WOW! Man I wish you told me this sooner lol. I have someone up here who is helping me with the install because I go to UCF and don't have access to my garage at home. A lift would be so nice I won't lie. I should be getting the headers on monday. You run a shop I guess?
Well from what I've seen the welds are excellent quality, and they headers are 304 stainless, so idk what more I could ask for. I got them fro $245 shipped and they ship out tomorrow. I should be installing them in three weeks.
FWIW I plan to weld the LT to the header on each side, so the clamps won't be an issue. I am also getting Stage 8 Locking bolts for my install so the hardware won't matter. What sucks is the fitment issues you're having. You have Prothanes? I'm installing them at the same time so that should...
Anytime man, mine will be shipped out monday and then I'm installing them in a month or so along with motor mounts. I will post up in that thread after it's all done.
Just a note bro, next time you wanna take your over axle pipes out, just lower the rear end of the car and then you don't need to cut it out. I love my Pypes system even though I had to go to a shop to get everything aligned.
It's a 32 Valve mod motor out of an 04 Mach 1. My father wanted reliability....for a weekend driver? lol... and I could persuade him to go with a built 5.0. Later we will be swapping it out most likely for a 351W.
