    Actually I believe the 05 -09 required a tune with the throttle body spacer and it's essentially the same engine so why not at least look into it? If that's the only mod he's done I wouldn't be surprised. And talking about stupid stuff....my buddy bought some rubber tube thing for his 02...

    Probably no TSB, it's just doing what it was designed to do. If you don't like it it's pretty easy to disconnect. Mine's staying until I get some exhaust.

    It actually seems more difficult to tamper with than the previous gas cap design. It's not like someone can just pop the cover open.

    My 05 had a syncro issue going into first. However I'd only had the car for a few months and it was repaired under warranty. The bill for the repair was in the range of 3.5k though :(
