Superior. They sound better than Focal Utopias but are louder than Focal Powers. Hertz Mille is similar tonality wise but not nearly as powerful and the Vipera F6 mid-bass produces lower notes unlike anything I have ever heard. Many are using the 6" as a subwoofer. :nice:

    Sub Box Help

Well depending on the subs you can just go isobaric. Just make the rear seat delete section secure and sealed to the opening, cut the sub holes, mount them and you are done. With the right sub IB configuration is quite spectacular. You have to remember you will reduce the speakers power rating...

    98 Gt With A 06 Crown Vic

Meh, someone around here needs to know something about Mustangs.

    98 Gt With A 06 Crown Vic

Vic intake points to the driver side, Mustang to the right. I am sure they just flipped the throttle adapter. When it comes to tensioners and idlers you will say for the Vic. Everything else is still Mustang. Well the Vics alt has more juice. Also the Mustangs water pump is more effecient at...

    98 Gt With A 06 Crown Vic

There is no difference unless he also converted it to coil on plugs (which I doubt). Everything else is the same down to the 6 bolt crank. You do have better heads and intake than the 98 had so your car has 45 more HP right off the bat.

Yay! The proper NEO magnet M35s arrived today and I promptly installed them. I was able to modify the old Morel grills to fit and then make a small spacer to allow the mids to sit properly in the dash. I am pretty pleased with how it all turned out. :)

    Current Audio Build: Audi Rs6

Oh boy! New toys arrived today. :D The AD speakers showed up and I have to say, I am in love. They are not the prettiest things out there but they have excellent build quality and so far I am very happy with their performance. Everything dropped in pretty easily. The woofers dropped right into...

    Current Audio Build: Audi Rs6

Spent the day cutting the hell out of my fingers. This stuff is SHARP! It is of really nice quality though and very easy to use. I ordered way too much though. Ordered 100 sheets thinking I would need 80 for mine and 20 to finish the Mark VIII. I think I used 60 sheets for mine and did WAY more...

    Current Audio Build: Audi Rs6

Made some small changes today. Added in a JL 500/1 to take over sub duties and then rewired the McIntosh amps to double the power to the fronts. It all made a big difference. The bass no has some authority and the front stage is capable of some nice output. Still hate the Morels but the new...

    Opinion On Borla's

Thats a question only you can answer. Some people love bassani but to me they sound like ass. I for one really like Borla. The XS Pros sound fantastic on a 4.6 IMHO. Deep tone with a hint of exotic. Milltek also makes a great sounding exhaust. Flowmaster has that trademark burble for the...

    Mach 460 Speakers Crackle

Are you sure the noise is through the full range speaker or is it coming from the 6x8 in the door?

Somehow I spent $100 just to add in that dang JL sub amp. I only needed 8' of power wire and a set of RCAs. How it hit $100 so quick..... I dunno?

    Last Audio Build.

Getting sick of all the changes I just went balls out and on the advice of someone I trusted I dropped nearly $2000 on some Sinfoni components. Best purchase ever. These are quite simply the absolute best sounding car speakers I have ever heard. Their detail and clarity is second to none. The...

    Last Audio Build.

So on to the next changes. This time I decided on Hertz ML1600 midranges and PHD AF1.c tweeters and ran the system active. This combo was really great and the sound stage was just spot on. The new mids and tweeters sounded so great they did show the subs weaknesses. And upgraded the subs...

I decided I wanted something really killer for the front stage. I was urged to try out Illusion Audios new Carbon line with Beyrellium tweeters. At $1000 a pair I just could not swing it but then was offered a low use set for $500 and jumped on it. They were very impressive looking speakers...

Well that was very short lived. The amps were under powered and just not clean amps. Found a guy on craigslist with an unreal deal on a pair of JL Audio amps for $225 each. I went to see the amps and he had all their paperwork and when I asked how much for both he said $200....? Huh? Yup, $225...

    Last Audio Build.

This one is pretty much done. Waiting on a control knob for one of the current amps but its done otherwise. It started off as a $350 Budget build. It is a work truck and my shop truck but the stock stereo sounded like crap. It is what kick started me into the audio world again. And like...
