    Chevy Equinox- Devil in Disguise?

Remember that internal, timing chain driven water pump I replaced on my mother's Taurus in the middle of my build thread? You might want to go look at those pictures. :rlaugh:

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1RaMkfFQvp/ I don't have the money, I already have a big project, and I've already got four cars parked at the duplex when I'm only supposed to have two. If it weren't for that, I'd be tempted.

    Smeding engines in Texas

I'm about to throw together a small block Chevy for my Sonoma... if I don't take the easy way out and LS swap it. Somehow they never came up when I was looking at crate engines to see if I'd have to put in the time to build a 400hp engine for it. (Figured out I can build one for about half of...

    Smeding engines in Texas

I'm in Texas, all of 125 miles from them, and I've never heard of them.

    Chevy Equinox- Devil in Disguise?

Not a dig, they just look like a jelly bean with a bed, and lately we've had a TON of them in the shop. Business partner's son dropped a nut down an intake runner on one, so I had to put a Jasper reman 5.4 in it (Jasper has gotten good again, that engine is an absolute BEAST and has been...

    Chevy Equinox- Devil in Disguise?

Just don't buy anything with a :poo:ty VVT system. Honda has been doing VVT (aka VTEC) for decades with very few issues. Toyota VVT-i is bulletproof except on about five years of the 2.4L engine. Ford VVT on the Coyote can be noisy, but is very reliable in general. Ford VVT on the Ecoboosts...

    Chevy Equinox- Devil in Disguise?

I love the Equinox... It makes me A LOT OF MONEY! :rlaugh: Ford 3.5 Ecoboosts, Chevy Equinox and it's platform mates, Chevy Traverse and it's platform mates, old Jelly Bean F150s, Nissans, and for some reason lately, Subarus, are what keep me in business.

https://www.facebook.com/share/1GnAuhv9Br/ If there was ever a II that could talk me back into one that wasn't a '76-77.5 Cobra II or '78 King Cobra... This just might be it, but not for $8000. I'd happily do $3-4k, maybe even $5k, but even for the rarity of a Silver Edition Ghia... They're...

Both tail lamps and all of the glass would get that back. I've had crazy amounts of success selling the hood latches and cables out of the two I put hood pins in (like $50 each), both of the front fenders, doors, and decklid look like they're possibly salvageable in the pics, if the rear end is...

https://www.facebook.com/share/14zzbt2Uyy/ I'm pretty sure she's too far gone to fix. If I had somewhere to stash it I'd grab it for that price and strip it for parts to stash and/or resale. There's a lot of 30s and 40s cars showing up cheap on FB lately that could use the suspension and steering.

I got there when I was fixing my papaw's '75 Chevy C10 that had also been my first car. I had the crushing realization that by the time I was finished restoring it, the only things left that would have been his were the frame and driveshaft. That's when I parted it out. In better news...

AND? The Sonoma is the new hot rod. I already have it, it's paid for, I was already building a 4L60E able to handle 450-500 horsepower for it anyway, and a junkyard 350 Vortec is all of $300. Throw $250 worth of rebuild parts at it, an LT4 hot cam, LS6 springs, an intake, and a 750cfm...

Ain't happening. I have a Sonoma to finish a 400hp 350 build for, an Avalon that needs the interior stripped and a cage installed, a Mazda 3 that needs a new engine (picked it up for $250, should be an easy flip), a Kia Rondo that needs an A/C compressor and then to be sold, a Suburban that...
