    buying a cam tomorrow

I had a B cam, and it should great and ran well, but there are so many other choices out there, and no offense to Ford, but the other companies with spilt cams tend to be better. I like the Trick Flow cams, and the Extreme Energy cams from Comp Cams. But they are pricey. My current setup...

    standard or metric

Most of the motor stuff is standard, but a lot of the body bolts are metric. I agree, have both.

anything to watch out for when buying a 4cyl conversion?

There is a quite of bit difference in the car, but I can't tell you all of them. But if the person who did the swap was smart, they would have gotten the engine harness out of the same year 5.0, cuz then it would just plug into the chassis harness. The 4 banger tranny is not the same as the...

What to do with a 351W block

Alright, here's what's up. I just scored a good 351 block, that's been bored .030 over, magnifluxed, and stress releived. I'm just kinda torn between building it as a 408, or a 392. So far, price between the two seem to be the same, but I'm curious to anyone experience with either one. THe...

HELP--Front Tire Rubs Fender Lip. Bent Frame?

It's kinda a given that the droptops are gonna be a little tweaked. Mine is a little, but oh well. And. the 17x9's are a little big for the fox car fender well. My 17x8's are tight, and i run the motorsports b springs also.

    Glowing red headers!!!

try stiming it to stock specs, which is 10 degrees btd, and go from there. Also, check for any vaccuum leaks, just to be safe.

    leaking intake?

Yeah, you have some sort of big vaccuum leak somewhere. Check all the hoses too, but if the intake is leaking at the upper to lower gasket, it could be revving up like that too. I've seen that very same thing happen, and it was a vac hose that had fallen off when we were installing a new engine.

What is this (part 2) ?

If the cars a stick, maybe the clutch cable. Or even the speedo cable. Either way, I'd replace them if they are burnt very badly.

    Rod Bolts

    Yeah, that sound about right.

    Rod Bolts

I put ARP's in my rods. Never had a bolt fail(yet), but if it apart, it's just cheap insurance in my opinion.

missing and bucking some while cruising, good idle and good WOT???

I had that problem after I did a head swap on my last car, and it would buck and miss at low rpm's and while cruising. Very irritating. Called around, and ended up getting some help from an editor of MM&FF. Said everytime he ran into that, it was an overly rich condition at part throttle...

    Stupid question,but......

It's to help the clutches in the diff to operate smoothly, and to wear evenly. A lot of synthetic gear lube already has some type of modifier already built into it.

SOmeone with a '93 please look

There sound be a small post for the wire on the starter. THe 91-down car do not have it. THe other side goes up to the strater solenoid (I think), and you need it for the starter to work correctly. I'll douyble check in the am about the wire, and get back.

Someone suggest a spring/shock combo to drop my coupe...

I run the motorsport springs with my car, and it actually sits lower in the nose than it does in the tail, a rare thing for a foxstang. But I need the tire clearance in the rear, 17's with sn95 brakes. I'd drop a pic, but it's currently apart on account of Bambi. I hate deer!!!!!!!
