    id offer $2500 if the cowl is smashed (this usally happens when the hood flys up, not just a busted grill.), my 86 was like that and its a major opperation to fix the cowl (maybe not for someone that knows what they are doing) ... but if it just the grill then its no biggy.

    they bolt right on, but i think there might be an extra bolt hole on 351 heads(i'll have to look) , i have a set of d0oe 351 heads that im prolly gonna use on my new engine edit: they do have a extra bolt hole, just dont use that hole

    for $230 i would get ceramic painted headers rust quick, had some flotecs on a camaro and the factory paint melted off after an hour of driving. i got chrome bbk's on my mustang and they took a lil less then a year to turn blue and there is a good bit of surface rust around the collector...

    i'd go with the tko 500... you can get it with 10 spline imput shaft(not like that matters since you'd prolly want a new clutch anyway) and it has a lower 1st gear ratio. plus its cheaper. if my memory serves me correctly... i read somewhere that the gears in the 500s are just as strong as...

    i didn't say you couldn't run a larger tb on a stock shortblock, but what does the shortblock to do with the fact that he has stock heads, cam, and intake? i can imagine the throtle responce with a 90mm tb and stock longblock:rolleyes: , what intake are they using that comes with a 90mm...

    i've always use "5 star 5400(i think)" gray primer. but you would be better off going to a paint store and have them get you the primer and see what they suggest. cuz it may be best to use black primer. you'll want to get a flex additive for painting bumper covers. you'll need hardener...

    the shifter sits too far back (or forward) to use the stock consol. the camaro t5 has to set at a 15* angle... the ford t5 bellhousing has the tranny setting straight up. you will need a chevy yoke and inner/outer locking ujoints.

    one of my friends has a 88 mercury marquis 5.0 that looks like a mustang 5.0 (except the TB face the driver's side) and it is not a roller motor.
