    new brakes

Aye, the mustangs have incredibly poor brakes. On the cheap side, a set of new rotors, and brake pads will slighlty improve your braking. If your looking for something a little more serious to stop the car. a 4pot front brake, (and 2pot rear if you have the cash to add) is definatly the...

Which hood is right for me?

Concept or heat extractor without any fancy exterior mods. a black car (when maintained properly :P) is clean. (not the literal term either) Keep the clean flow of it with a subtle hood. There's nothing wrong with the other choices, but my prefrence on your car would be to keep it...

    traction control

They do say drag-racing is a drivers sport.. I wouldn't know anything about that, never once been on a strip. Everything i do is on a road course, and traction control on is a life saver on cold tires or too big of an ego. but every personal track record i've set in the stang for myself has...

Ha ha ha....man..I love the torque of a V8.

:worthlesa: STI - 1 Your Opinion - 0 Everyone knows the term "To Each his own" but Alas, performance is Not a matter of opinion. It is as concrete as mathematics. Hell, it is Mathematics.

Ha ha ha....man..I love the torque of a V8.

i'll get some things straight here, seeing as i own both a GT daily driver, and STi track car. (And its THE track car for a good reason) How much is lef tin the 4cyl? well, if you want to spend 5-8grand, you can bolt on and tune about 500AWHP. which would be a rough 600hp at the crank. That's...

Ha ha ha....man..I love the torque of a V8.

i don't know how much more horse power you would need to walk an Evo at a track - with a stock suspension.. damn. just watch the evo fade away each corner. turn in, and turn out. by track - i mean road course.. not a strip.. track = twisties strip = drag strip... Stop calling a strip...

Will aftermarket clutch / flywheel void the warranty?

a lighter flywheel never hurts performance. and i couldn't imagine anyone that wouldn't atleast consider the idea of upgrading the clutch while the tranny is out for the flywheel...

Will aftermarket clutch / flywheel void the warranty?

brake's arn't covered under warrenty(the calipers are though), so your free to do whatever you want with the pads/rotors. I hope i can say this clearly enough. Nothing Can "Void" your warrenty. Let me explain this. Consider your powertrain warrenty. it covers Everything in your...

re-clearcoating my fanblades after painting them

Definatly looks better than stock! Have a look around for a polish that remove's Pit's from chrome and aluminum. I don't know if it will return to a good finish alone, so maybe pickup some super fine polish and use a buffing wheel.

    Rust Bubble on Hood

lol. Indeed. Thankfully it's not either of those cars. I guess i'm just pushing the thought -- If you had bought a supercar (even the ford GT) then i could seriously understand wanting to gouge the eye's out of whomever thought of the idea of trying to save money on a supercar buy cutting the...

    Rust Bubble on Hood

I'll put this as lightly as i can. It's only a Ford. There are many car manufacturers that use better paint, and have higher quality manufacturing. Honda for 1. my sister has sworn by honda, and i've detailed her cars for years. everyone has been excellent. But you don't get a 300hp...

    Mustang a "chick car"?

I definatly agree that the mustang lines are legendary.. But how many years of reputation does the mustang have under its belt to be precise? Owning both an STI and an s197, i have to say. in my part of the woods in Ontario, i get Far, Far, FAR more looks in my STI, than i do the stang'...

Need help with buying '08 GT

It never hurts to ask.. just go do it, the least that they'll say is no. Probably will say no because their impression of you is stamped with *sucker* When you ask, be strong about it. If they still say no. don't give up. take the frpp price, and cut it in half. then push for 1k$...

had a wreck in the snow

Had a similar situation with my STI. Except, it was sunny, clear, 15celcious, and i rear ended somone... There was approx 4k$ in suspension goodies, aftermarket rims, custom headlights, optima battery, etc etc etc that was damaged, bent, scratched or just destroyed. that doesn't include...

    how much hp/tq

to keep it reliable, i think its 6-9PSI. if you don't mind your car popping in 10-20,000KM's then try for 10-12... vague #'s off the top of my head. Too lazy to look up more info and link it. Try the search function. /slap.

whats ya'lls take on hid conversion

True, but what you Should have is a housing that is better designed for the HID bulb. Regaurdless, its the drivers call to equip them or not. maybe I just hate the ignorant ppl on the road so much.
