Different Stut Mounts on 2007 GT's?

Most likely. I heard the GT500 piece was very inexpensive.

    "HOT off the press "

Probably written by a (Ford) car salesman. :) "They're only making them for one year, you know. Yep, and all 3,000 are spoken for." :rlaugh:

which will be faster 07 shelby GT500, or 06 saleen SC, both stock.

Thanks! I actually put a lot of time into them prior to having them powder coated. I smoothed all of the casting flash/mold marks from the flanges and filled in some minor pits. It was truly a labor of love, and was my winter 'project'. I'm waiting for a box of GT500 parts to get here and...

Different Stut Mounts on 2007 GT's?

Perhaps what you heard was that the flanges on the strut towers were changed from '07-up to a more stubby design to accommodate the width of the GT500's 5.4 4V engine, which is true. The mounting points for the strut tower braces are unchanged however, so you should be ok.

    WHICH SPRINGS???

First of all, sorry for the troubles you're having with your springs - that sounds crazy. I'll be honest - I couldn't be happier with these springs so far. No noises, but I didn't have any noises with the factory springs like some have reported. The ride quality is about what you would...

    GT 500 Parts?

Absolutely. You may have trouble tracking down some of the part numbers early on though. I just ordered a bunch of GT500 intercooler system parts for my GT yesterday. My Ford guy used an inbound GT500 VIN to gain access to some of the hard-to-find part numbers.

which will be faster 07 shelby GT500, or 06 saleen SC, both stock.

Good stuff! Good thread and some really outstanding posts by RICKS. I'm wondering a lot of the same things since I have a very lightly optioned '06 GT (base CD player - not the 500, no side airbags, 5-spd manual, leather, IUP) and I'm in the process of installing a Roushcharger kit along with...

How perfect do you expect your new car to be and what do you take in for warranty wor

I know it sounds crazy, but the least amount of time your car spends at the dealer, the better. I was there when mine just came off of the truck and I took it from them before they could send it through make ready. I'm a little extreme though. Good luck with it and have fun.

    24mm offset pics

Nobody wants to own up to buying the wrong offset I guess. It would work ok with a 8-8.5" width though.

It says that the GT(5spd M) weighs 3356! I have always heard a figure of about 3487 or so. What gives?

    Lets talk about Roush

The Roush bumper with the extra cutouts was the early '05 design, and isn't available anymore to my knowledge. I don't like it either.

    please review my planned mods:

Good choice. I have the same, but in anthracite. Take the mods slow, and one thing at a time as you may not like what something does. There is a lot of crap out there, and just because someone sells it doesn't mean you should buy it. Do plenty of research and have fun. Be careful on those...

    Basic Supercharger Questions

Buy the Roushcharger with confidence. You can say that about the Roush system more than any other. It is thoroughly engineered and the boost is kept at very safe levels.

    What wheel size suits you?

No problem at all, Jim. There aren't many vendors that carry them but here is where I got mine: http://www.groupawheels.com/driftr.html

    WHICH SPRINGS???

H&R Springs here... H&R springs drop it 1" in front and .75" in the rear. I didn't want much of a drop - mission accomplished.

Talking about width here, not diameter.

    What wheel size suits you?

    Front is a 19x9 with a 35mm and rears are 19x10 with a 45mm as Anthony mentioned.

    What wheel size suits you?

I'm saying if you want ~4 inches of sidewall on the new car for the purpose of ride quality concerns vs performance or whatever (like I had on my '98 Cobra with 18s and a smaller overall diameter of ~26 inches) but you want to keep the same factory S-197 diameter (~27.17") then you will need a...
