    very basic supercharger question

Probably figure somewhere in the neighborhood of ~$3k for a Cobra crank, premium rods and forged pistons along with the labor and any machine work needed to put it together. I'm guessing here, but that's probably pretty close. The factory parts simply won't put up with much abuse at the high...

    very basic supercharger question

Doc, There is actually one supercharger out there that has its own 3yr/36k warranty. It is the Roushcharger by Roush Performance. The way it works is very similar to the '03/'04 Cobra setup except the supercharger is the smaller M90 unit (vs. M112). This system is said to make 415hp/385tq...

The spoiler: to delete or not to delete, that is the question

Spoiler delete... Here's a pic of mine. No regrets, although the SVT one looks nice.

Wow! A UK mag praises the Roush Mustang!

Would there happen to be a link to this story anywhere online? I would love to read about the supercharged Roush since I'm thinking about going with their Roushcharger kit for my '06 GT. That's impressive that the stang beat out the C6!

    Steeda Suspension Review

You should have got the H&R OE Sport Springs to begin with. :) Glad you like the Steedas - I've heard nothing but praise for them.

    Vortech or Roushcharger

The Saleen is another very well engineered kit that I like a lot. It will most likely be between those two if I go the SC route.

    Vortech or Roushcharger

Roushcharger... I really like the enginering that goes into the Roush kits, so right now that is my frontrunner. Does anyone here have one of these installed on their car already? There doesn't seem to be too much info on them just yet.

    Any problems with H&R Springs?

It's a pretty easy job and there are several very good articles written about the installs - just do a little digging and you're sure to find them. All you really need is a spring compressor for the fronts, but a very easy job to do overall.

    Any problems with H&R Springs?

I actually went with the OEM Sport Springs because of the modest drop of 1" in the front and .75" in the rear.

H&R here - no problems whatsoever....

    Biggest Tire for 05-06 GT's?

I don't think so. I know you can get them with different color centers and with polished lips, but I haven't seen any in chrome.

    Biggest Tire for 05-06 GT's?

Thanks bigcat. I like the springs just fine. I had Eibachs on another Mustang ('93 LX coupe) and '01 Bullitt springs on my previous '98 Cobra to give my spring history. I feel like the Eibachs drop the new stang a little bit more than I wanted for myself, but they sure look nice. I was...

    Biggest Tire for 05-06 GT's?

Car is lowered 1" in front and 3/4" in the rear with H&R springs. Here's one of the side:

    Biggest Tire for 05-06 GT's?

They're probably not the largest possible, but myself and a few others on this board have this set-up: Front - 19x9, 275/35-19 Rear - 19x10, 295/35-19 No rubbing at all. Front tires are a little shorter, but rears are close. Not much selection so far with the larger overall diameter.

    New Rims

I wouldn't put anything wider than a 295 on a 10" wide rim. I would rather have a 285, but I wanted to stay close to the original diameter. Pay attention to tire diameters as most of the tires you will find are closer to the old ('04-older) Mustangs diameter. I have the rear tires that 1fastz...

    new wheels !! black bullitt's

    I know what you mean - I ran 255s on a 9" Cobra R on another car, and it looked funny. It's a shame they don't offer a 265/45-18.

    new wheels !! black bullitt's

Nice! Nice look and fit. I think a 255/45-18 may have been a better choice on tires though, since you're giving up nearly an inch of height. But then the 265 width is better for a 9" wide rim than 255, so I don't know. The black really looks good on there. :nice: There aren't too many...
