    Yes you'll definitly need an amp and some better wiring.. Find out how much the subs can handle and get an amp that will put out enough power to run them..(or a bit more power than they can handle) Do you plan on changing any of the components at all?

    This may be your problem or it may not be... but 128 bitrate is low.... it's terrible sound quality to say the least and you will notice the difference on any decent sound system. Try and use 320 bitrate.... 256 is good as well.... 192 at the very very lowest... Try downloading some songs...
