    Used Gears

I am running used gears with no problem. Before I pulled them out of the other housing I marked the pattern with gear marking compound and kept the shims. That way they could be installed with the same pattern as before.

    Air-Fuel Gauge

My experience with the single wire oxygen sensors is with carbed motors. From what I understand about fuel injected motors the computer is constantly going from slightly lean to slightly rich to obtain a happy medium so that might cause more of a problem with an air/fuel gauge.

    Air-Fuel Gauge

I once hooked a single wire narrow band O2 sensor into a bung I welded into my exhaust and hooked a voltmeter set on the 2v scale and found it very helpful for tuning purposes. It allowed me to quickly get into the ballpark I needed for jetting and then I could fine tune after that. You aren't...

    Making sub-frame connectors?

I made some for my 86 Mustang and it was fairly simple.Have a look at ebay and some of the aftermarket companies for ideas on how they should look and the size of material being used.Bends can be made by cutting through three sides of the tube and bending in such a way that the gap is closed up...

    Innovate LM-1 wideband oxygen meter

Just wondering if anyone has used one and what they thought of it.I am really tempted right now to buy one but it is hard to justify the cost.I am not sure if there are any local dealers, they run about $349 U.S. for the basic kit and $429 with RPM logging capabilities...

What do Canadians really think about guns for self-defence?

There is a certain element of society that probably wouldn't think twice about doing a home invasion or assaulting a stranger if it weren't for the fear that sooner or later they would cross paths with someone with a firearm. As long as people are allowed to have guns then that fear of the...

1995 Mustang up for bids at SGI in Regina

I was trying to figure out what hit it, it almost looked like it got hit by a motorcycle or went sideways into a pole as the actual area of impact is fairly small but it did a lot of damage.

1995 Mustang up for bids at SGI in Regina

I forgot that you could view bid vehicles online now http://www.sgi.sk.ca/sgi_internet/salvage_sales/salvage_frameset.html I never started it up, but I did shift through some of the gears.I find it unusual that there is no reserve price and that they gave a little extra info about the engine...

1995 Mustang up for bids at SGI in Regina

1995 Mustang, 5.0, 5-speed,red exterior,black-grey interior,95k,factory 16" 5 spoke wheels.Hit real hard on the passenger side so not really practical for any one to fix but would make a nice donor car.No reserve that I could see so it might go fairly cheap. It is right next to the entrance on...

    get the engine in

Take a couple of bolts that are 2-3" long or so and the same thread as the bellhousing bolts and cut the heads off.Thread them into the back of the block loosely and it will help line up the engine and transmission. Before you put the engine in make sure that the torque converter is fully seated...

    Manual steering rack.

I don't have any manual ones kicking around.I have my stock 86 4 cyl power one and one from a turbo coupe which is supposed to be the quicker ratio power one but thats it.I see cars out at Buck's 2 or 3 times a year with them and occasionally at SGI so I will let you know if I see anything.

    Manual steering rack.

You can swap out the rag joint for a stiffer one.I have the book "Mustang Performance 2 by William Mathis" and he recommends swapping out the stock one for the ones at the parts store in the red "Help" bubble packs which is supposed to be better. The steering coupler is located directly under the...

    Manual steering rack.

I have a manual rack from a Fairmont in my 86 Mustang and I like it.If you grab one from the wreckers, make sure you get the steering coupler which connects the rack to the steering shaft.Manual and power racks have a different size input shaft and the steering coupler from a power steering car...

    Nitrous kit at SGI

I was at SGI salvage in Regina today and they are selling a Nitrous kit they pulled off a 1995 Mustang.I don't know if it is complete or not, it had the bottle, a bunch of braided lines, a couple of solenoids and an Autometer pressure gauge. They are asking $500 for the package.
