    does any one have a suggestion for an amp to push 2 jl12w3s dual 4 ohm voic coils? ive checked all the major brands but couldnt find any that were in my price range. just wondered if any one knew a brand that is inexpensive and good. thanks ANDY

    Has anyone ran a direct fused connection to the battery from the stereo?

    i dont know if im getting what your saying. if you want to put an aftermarket HU in your car you can just buy a wiring harnes that will plug into the on that pluged into your factory HU and connect to the wires that go to the new HU. that would be easier then running a wire to the battery. ANDY

    the profile amp wouldnt be the best idea since it isnt 2 ohm stable bridged. id recomend a jl 600.1 if your tight on money but a 1200.1 would be best if you have the cash. ANDY

    Installing 6x9 speakers in 6x8 openings and an amp question...

    you shouldnt need a resistor or anything like that its just to make it so the rear speakers are quieter then the front ones. If you have front and rear outputs on your HU then hook upone of the fronts and one of the rears so you can fade it if you want if not then just deal with the rear ones...

    Amp under rear seats??

    i had a rockford 360a2 and a pioneer 150 watt amp on each side of my 95 convertable behind the panel that goes over the speaker and that the seat belt goes into. it took some work to get them inthere but i saved a lot of room in my trunk and neither amp has ever gotten hot and shut down. ANDY

    you will have to find some great speakers to get the bass that you had from your 10s id find some way to keep at least one 10 otherwise you will be let down. ANDY

    im not sure about convertables but cant you put some speakers in the dash? ifso theres two and you coulc build kick panels and put two there and then somwhere in the back not to sure about the interior of an old convertable. and subs wont be a problem just takes up a lil bit of room. ANDY

    sounds like a short somewhere in the wires going to the speakers. use a multi meter andsee if there is a break somewhere in the line. ANDY
