Digital Tuning 2005 Mustang Gt Idle Problem

These are electronically controlled throttle bodies and CANNOT be pushed open with your finger. At best it can be recalibrated to the ECM, most likely you will need a new one. I learned this the hard way with a Nissan I used to have. Idle is not only controlled with the AIC Solenoid, but the...

    Speedometer Way Off!! Need Help

Man what a long thread on a speedometer issue. :bang: His tires were not that much taller than stock 2005 tires, less than half an inch. It doesn't matter if the tires were different, the gears were different, or both; the solution is changing a setting with a tuner. If you can program the...

"Hello! I'm about to purchase a new set of wheels & tires for my 07 Mustang" You have enough money to replace the original wheels and tires with aftermarket wheels and tires yet you complain about Ford's sensors....? Deal with it..

Do I need a tune with my mods?

You need a tune with stock exhaust! ;) Maybe/maybe you can get away with a stock tune running an off-road pipe but I doubt it. You don't want to do that anyway. First mod should be a CAI and a flash of the ECM (tune). It will cost you several hundred dollars but it's worth it.

    Key programming in Charlotte NC

I've seen those cheapo Chinese programmers on ebay. Mr. Burley had a legit programmer. Probably cost him $3500 years ago, he's a licensed locksmith in NC.

    Key programming in Charlotte NC

Update: I was browsing my local community's web site and found a sponsor that was a locksmith, Burley's Lock and Key (704-395-2000). He came over within 30 minutes and added the key I already had cut for $60. Only took 10 minutes. He was a very nice guy and professional, worth every penny. I...

    Clutch Pressure?

I have a 2008 GT/CS. Is there any way to reduce the clutch pedal pressure? It's stock.. I sold my '97 Cobra because the clutch was the old cable with a stiff pressure plate. I'm pretty much disabled in my left foot/leg and I need a way to drive my car and enjoy it at the same time.

    Tranny stuck in third

I agree it's not likely a shifter issue, you probably need some transmission work. Sorry to hear that. I had a friend that bought a 2005 brand new and it had the transmission worked on a couple of times before 30k miles. he sold it before the warranty ran out. On another note. Sparta, Are...

    Key programming in Charlotte NC

Thanks for the input. I do believe there is a way to remove old keys, whether it's deleting them or overwriting them. My car is a repo and the one and only key I got from the dealer was not an original so there's at least 2 out there somewhere that can potentially start the car. I am a...

    Key programming in Charlotte NC

They might be able to "clone" one of these PATS keys but that's not what I need. I need a tech to wipe out all existing keys in the cars ECM and learn two unique keys. That way any old keys floating around out there won't work and I can make at least one more spare myself in case one is lost...

    Key programming in Charlotte NC

I only have one working key for my car and I'm looking for a shop in or around Charlotte NC that can delete all keys and program the computer for 2 new ones. I have an extra transponder key cut to turn the cylinder but the car doesn't recognize it. A locksmith can do it for $150-200 but that...

Exhaust Need Help On Exhaust Choice!

Wow, You bought a 2006 GT that has stock exhaust! If you're on a budget, axle-back is the way to go. If you want it as loud as possible without changing the headers and midpipes then muffler deletes are in order, aka pype bombs or loud mouths. Personally, I bought Pypes Violators and...

    Valve Clatter??

Fill up with at least 91 octane and see if that helps. If it does then you'll have to adjust your tune and/or run the higher octane. I have a BAMA tune ,their 87 tune needs 89, and their 89 needs 91, at least for my car in this area (Charlotte, NC).

    Looking at a 2005 Saleen 281?

27k is insane for a 2005, even a Saleen. Sticker price for a brand new 5.0 GT is around 30k here in Charlotte NC, and that's sticker. YOu could have a brand new car, with a warranty, for the same money or less.
