    87 or 93 Octane

    That's probably true to a certain extent. If you have the cash and want to run 89 or 93 you can probably gain a few horses, but don't jump around between low and high octane.

    tinting window problem (scratches)

    This is news to me as well - I don't think I've had occasion to do it yet (going on 2 weeks since I had it tinted) but I'd like to know. Also, I had mine tinted with Llumar 35% up front, 15% in back and sides. I have yet to see a scratch, but I've been meticulous about keeping the insides...

    Best way to remove antenna

    Here goes: 11MM open-ended wrench. Turn counter-clockwise until loose. Once loose, use fingers to continue removal. Found this out today when I swapped my shortened antenna from the '96 cobra onto my '05. Looks much better shortened :nice:

    Intake Help

    You have a few options - but you'll have to get cold air intake (CAI) and a tune (either on a dyno or via a tuner like SCT or Diablosport). Do a search here and over on TMS (http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showforum=43). Should help you out.

    05 GT auto tranny in 3rd slips??

    Yeah, when in town I either manually shift - 1,2,3 or D with O/D off. What you are feeling is the converter slipping, it's not hurting anything. Solution - Don't start in 3.

    First Oil Change?

    Just did my first change over the weekend at 1000 miles. Went to Mobil 1 0w20. Royb is right, the filter is on VERY tight, and it appears that the gasket wasn't lubed. Had to drive a screw driver through it to get it off. I cleaned the oil plug, and didn't notice any big metal pieces...

    Color Choices Poll

    Usually people will recommend grey / dark silver / "champagne" color cars for that duty. I got Mineral Grey for this reason, and it seems to be doing well. I drive it almost daily through the Ohio winter, and it appears to stay clean looking until it gets absolutely filthy. Have fun.

    I'm 26, have the '05 GT and a 96 cobra convertible. Wife drives an '04 escape. Bought the cobra in '02 w/ 13k miles, it now has 20k. I put more miles on my GT in the first week of ownership than I did on the Cobra this YEAR. I need to drive it more. My '05 GT replaced a 99 sebring...

    Awesome! Very good to know as a fellow 05 auto driver. What RPM did you launch at? Anything else I should know? (I've never dragged an Auto before, so bear with me)...
