    to get back to the question you are actually asking, i used to see a lot of dust off my serpentine belt. right up to the point where it flew off. check all the alinements on the pullies. mine happen to be the p.s. wich was just a touch off, but thats all it takes. threw a washer behind it...

    bad alternator. put a new one i and works perfect. now instead of voltage dying above 4k and potentialy losing power to fuel pump and only seeing about 7lbs of boost. the thing screams now and pulls a soild 9 lbs in 3rd gear. now lets see what kind of damage ive done because i was to cheap...

    followed thoes directions to a t. did a nice job if i might add. the belt has been changed and tightened with no change. wass fine for months except in the high r's. it got worse over the weekend and is to the point now where the light is on flickering all the time.

    i did a 3g convertion earlier this seaon with a 95 gt alt. of ebay, used. had my buddy put it on the tester at advance and said it checked out fine. ever since i put it in the car it will drop voltage and the battery light will come on at 4k rpms plus. put the clutch in, bring the r's down...

    look in sig. redrock fire? :shrug: its a mazda 6 color. pics sucks but a very nice color, added a little more metal flake than factory. and still have to paint a set of moldings.:nonono:
