    Can I cut my springs?

    Cut my springs a month ago, rides like stock and looks 100 times better. Only thing you lose when cutting your springs is suspension travel (you can't lower your car 2" without scraping everywhere), ride quality will be exactly the same. (factory springs have a linear rate)

    I'm not sure but I don't think the KB kit is so great for the 96-98 Cobras. I would personally go with an ATI Procharger D1 or Paxton Novi 2000 :nice: Tim will recommend a Vortech, heard it's easier to tune :) Whatever your choice, call T&J Performance :nice:

    As far as I know, the last Cobra that ran 14s with a decent driver was built in 95... 99-01 Cobras run 13.5 right off the showroom floor I raced one on the highway and it wasn't pretty. He wasn't exactly bone stock but had some really basic bolt ons. Got walked bad ! :spot:

    FYI, all Cobras come from the factory the way they are supposed to be, with a manual transmission :D My father has a 97 Cobra, awesome car, never had a problem with it. Go for it ! :nice:

    Had always been a little scared to miss 3rd until I tried powershifting a few weeks ago. Don't ask me why but it now goes in like a breeze and I haven't missed a shift in months :shrug: Can't wait to try it at the track ! :banana: :spot:

    Funny you ask that, I am currently doing mine. It is only a temporary solution though as I am tired of the 4x4 look but still can't afford the suspension setup I really want. Purebred has it right, cutting the springs won't increase their rate. Getting the right drop ain't hard at all...
