    Hood Pins

    Great idea about the rubber tubing. I will do the same. I have no options on my car but to remove the factory rubber stops. There is very limited room on the radiator support bracket. Thanks.

    What is "GL-6" differential fluid?

    I found it. GL-6 is designed for "severe service involving high-offset hypoid gears". Has anyone heard of GL-7? I did not find anything on it. I though my installer said he carried GL-7.

    Is there a break-in period for a new ring & pinion?

    I dont think that was a very good idea. However, im glad you havent had any problems. Further research is indicating that there is a break-in period. Easy driving for 10 miles, cool for 30, and repeat at least 3 times. Then change fluid after 500 miles. Has anbody heard this?

    The noise occurs all the time. However, if the car has been sitting for a little bit, it takes about 1 mile for it to occur. It makes the noise during straight line, cornering, accelerating and decelerating. The pitch gets higher with speed. It is only heard from 5-40mph.
