Did your Cobra have a cargo net in the trunk?

I think I just kept the one that was in my GT.

    Too loud for the track!!!

Stock headers (or manifold, whatever you want to call it :)). The X was a cheap flowtech POS.

    Too loud for the track!!!

I know, I know. One of the club members has it on video, but I've got nothing on it right now. :( Actually we found one of the contributing factors. I knew there was a leak at the driver's side header/X connection due to poor fit, but the passenger side was also leaking. The gasket had...

    Too loud for the track!!!

LOL, everbody asks that. FRPP M55 3" catback. The M55 comes with a disclaimer: "An ultra-low back pressure exhaust system for your 1990-01 Cobra. Primarily 3" tailpipes, this system has low back pressure, but will produce significant noise and may be objectionable in some applications."

    Too loud for the track!!!

I posted this on SVTP, but just in case some of you guys don't get over there. ---- LOL, I believe I now have definitive proof that my car is way too loud. :D We had a track day for our local SVTOA on saturday out at a local track. They've got sound meters set up around the track so that...

Any other 03/04 cobras out there?

Bill's car was SC'd wasn't it? He had quite a bit of work done to it anyway. :hail2: Driver skill definitely owns though. A guy posted on SVTP that he ran an 11.96 in a stock 03... just practice and perfect launch/shifting was all it took. :nice:

Any other 03/04 cobras out there?

Jeebus, methinks your dyno is a little wonky or else you've got one of the strongest 2.8s that I've seen. Most guys with those mods are only around 450-460, and thats with a CAI too.

Any other 03/04 cobras out there?

Pulley??? j/k :nice: I still want to know what he's got done to the car to put down those numbers. :D

Any other 03/04 cobras out there?

Few bolt ons? Those are pretty good numbers for just a few bolt ons, more than most guys are getting with CAI, pulley, tune, longtubes, X, and catback...

    Exhaust is Too Loud!

In the US you can order directly from Bassani. In Canada you've got to go through one of their distributors.

    Exhaust is Too Loud!

I'm the expert of the moment on dealing with SCARED BABY LOUD exhausts (exhausts so loud they make your neighbours babies cry). BAFFLES ARE THE ANSWER!!! http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=496642 I'm running a flowtech (Hooker's cheap cousin) O/R X with an M55 3"...

LOL, mine was louder than that. :bang:

Getting rid of the X-Pipe raspiness! Baffles are the answer!

From memory I would estimate that the baffle reduces the inner diameter of the exhaust (at the tip) from 3" to about 2.5", which also happens to be the size of tubing used for most aftermarket catbacks so there is no "restriction" going on per se. My xpipe is 2.5", the catback is 3", so the...

Anyone else find the current Cobra's seats to be very uncomfortable?

I love mine, it was one of the major reasons I traded in my GT (at least the reasons I told my wife).

Getting rid of the X-Pipe raspiness! Baffles are the answer!

-I posted this over in the SVT forum, but figured you guys might like to know too.- My car was way way too loud. I've got an M55 3" catback and O/R X and it was really really raspy and really really really incredibly *****ing loud, so loud that I got a ticket for it a couple of weeks ago...

    Flowtech Headers SUCK!!

I got a flowtech X too. The thing fitted so badly that it had to be cut up and rewelded to fit, pain in the ass, but no leaks yet. You get what you pay for and flowtech is CHEAP!

Getting rid of the X-Pipe raspiness! Baffles are the answer!

My car was way way too loud. I've got an M55 3" catback and O/R X and it was really really raspy and really really really incredibly *****ing loud, so loud that I got a ticket for it a couple of weeks ago. After searching around I found the answer in the form of some 3" Bassani baffles. They...
