Let’s Talk About Toolboxes And Garages..

Ya, those are the older style stands, I really like those. Check out the Esco stands, they are a beefier more up to date version of your old stands. I love them, they have been very easy to use and super reliable for me. I'd post pics of my tool box setup but I left them at my parents house...

Let’s Talk About Toolboxes And Garages..

You mean jack stands like these? https://www.tooltopia.com/esco-10498.aspx I've got 4 of those Esco stands and love them.

Fox Epas And Electric Brake Boosters

I would much rather use an electric power steering pump like something out of the Toyota MR2 or perhaps an MBZ unit like the guys building Project Binky (check it out on youtube, those Brits are good and nuts). With a good electric power steering pump you can take load off the accessory drive...

    1965 Front Suspension

Again, this all depends on budget but there are a lot of ways to make day to day life with the car easier. I'm not a fan of rack and pinion steering in the classics because you get a worse turning radius but the factory power steering system is a total mess. I don't know if they ever got it...

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Torch the bushing out and replace it with a poly bushing. Also when you put it together, slather the frame/torque box side and the bushing faces that contact the frame with silver antiseize, this will keep the poly bushings from sounds crunchy and squeaking like crazy.

    Camber Keeps Readjusting Itself...

Pro tip on the alignment: factory settings is usually bad. These cars came with bias ply tires and the factory setting is made for those. Radial tires will work best with different settings. Unfortunately I don't know what good settings with radial tires are off the top of my head but the...

    1965 Front Suspension

What is your goal for the car? Are you trying to make a daily driver or a track car? Something in between? Are you more in the San Diego area or the LA area?

1966 I-6 Header To Starter Clearance

You should probably start a new thread about the carb stuff and another for the ignition stuff as well. Thread topics help direct people to the topic they can help with. Right now everyone will still think this is about header clearance.

1966 I-6 Header To Starter Clearance

I would recommend doing this with the heat wrench. If you can just heat the primary tubes up and bend the header a little bit, that is better than the BFH method. You should also probably buy some heat wrap and wrap the header to protect the starter. You can also build a heat shield for the...

Story Of The 1969 Mustang And Scarebird Brakes...

I can't say a bad thing about the Scarebird products because I've never used them. I can however comment on the guy. In my experience, he is a rather unpleasant individual. When I younger I asked a question in a thread on this forum because I was confused about something and wanted...

    Proportioning Valve Light Switch?

If the switch on the prop valve has a single wire, it is a ground loop for the break warning light. If the pin in the prop valve kicks to one side because of a pressure differential it will ground the circuit and the brake warning light on the dash lights up. The dash light also lights up if...

    What Would You Do?

Sorry to say but this but you are indeed on the hook for all of it. I would talk to the shop and explain you feel like they missed an easy troubleshooting step that could have avoided a large amount of labor and ask them to split the difference with you on that portion of the work. Explain...

    65 Mustang Front Suspension Problems

Could you take a few pics of the suspension on both sides and post them? That might help us figure this out. Pics of the strut rod where it hooks up at the front and pics of the coil sping, upper arm and spring perch would be good as well as a pic of the lower arm.

New Member With 65 Mustang With 94-04 Spindles+hubs+ Wilwood

A 14" wheel is the smallest wheel that will clear an 11" rotor/caliper combo, at least stock style. Since you are using an aftermarket caliper that is bigger than a stock caliper, you are running into interference. If you take the caliper off, does the 14" wheel bolt on and clear the...

    400m In 67-68 Engine Compartment

It all depends on how far you want to go with it. The 400M is a badass motor but it takes a lot of work to turn it into the monster it is capable of becoming. There isn't a lot of aftermarket support for that motor by comparison to the other motors. If you are doing it because that is what...

    1973 Mach 1 Electrical/startup Help

You say there were problems with the original harness and it was replaced. What was it replaced with? Make sure your MSD box turns on with key on and stays on in crank. Also check the voltage at your coil both in key on and crank positions to make sure you are getting juice when and where you...

    Power Brake Upgrade

CSRP is probably your best resource for this, his website is http://www.discbrakeswap.com He was an active forum member here for years and he REALLY knows his stuff. He can set you up with exactly what you need, nothing you don't and explain the benefit you will feel from the upgrade. He is a...

    Installing New Rotors

I believe it depends on the year and style of brakes that are on the car. Just guessing based on your name but that would be a 1968 Mustang? If I remember correctly, the rotor and hub are 1 piece. In that case, you will find the answer to your question is based on the rotor you buy. I think...
