    Battery charging issues. Alternator or wiring?

    Questions: Is the 500 ohm resistor on the card that pulls out on the backside of the gauge panel? Could the Battery warning light work AND the 500 ohm resistor still be bad causing problems? What would/could be the cause(s) of a frequently failing regulator? Thanks for the help.

    I know from my experience that I kept the car in control and off the rev limiter much better with an auto when street driving. Something to consider especially if you have a stock block.

    Look for headers and other parts needed for the swap. Then debate the benefit of the 351c over a 351 or 302w.

    It was not uncommon for the dealers to order the cars w/o air to be able to advertise a lower price. If the customer wanted air the dealer could add it later and still make a little coin.

    Sweet car! Those look like original stainless headers to me. Also looks like original plug wires too. You got a cream-puff!!!! I think new O2 sensors are always a good idea on these cars. Make sure it is running on all 8 cylinders as those plug wires can break down.

    4 eye parts are far more difficult to source than 87-93's. Price a door panel and dash along with the dash gauges. Some of those hard to find 4 eye parts are made of unobtanium. That should figure highly your decision in my opinion.
