    i found a 2.3l engine with 85k miles on it with a t5 transmission for $300 in clearwater. i also found a 2.3l engine with 67k miles on it with a t5 transmission for $400 in st pete. would either of these be a good idea to get and drop in my car or no? thanks. both drives are about an hour away.

    2.3 died (5.0 swap questions)

    ok so. my 2.3tc died the other day and i think i wanna upgrade to the 5.0. my fox is an 89 lx hatch and it has the 4banger suspension and setup. i was wondering what (if you could list everything) i need to do the 2.3 to 5.0 swap. i would appreciate it. thanks

    I do have the chiltons and i have been reading the boards on here and at another site. im not doing the swap myself and i dont need to rebuild the engine. im getting the engine and letting a mechanic shop swap the engine out for me. i just need to know how to tell if the engine is running...

    is there a way he can get it to turn over if it hooks up to a battery to show me its running? i dont wanna drive 90 mins there and 90 mins back only to not have it work. if i dont do that, would it just be easier and cheaper to switch the rearend and get a 5.0?

    any knoew a good place to get a cheap 2.3l engine, long block or full, nonturbo or tc, cheap and reliable in florida near orlando area? If i got 3 "Working" tc engines, (guy selling said all work), for $500, it would be a good deal to make one good turbo out of them right? rather than pay...
