    need help with dccontrol fan

Thanks hissin50, I'll go back to his website and check the trouble shooting section. I'm pretty sure the probe is in all the way, but I'll check that again too. It sounds to me like it might be that it's not in all the way. It seems the fan just doesn't know that the temperature is up that...

    bad vibration

Just a thought, could it be your balancer? Mine started vibrating under acceleration, and I changed the balancer, and it smoothed out.

    need help with dccontrol fan

Hey guys, does anyone have a dccontrol fan on their car? Here's my problem. I installed it today, and I'm pretty sure I followed the directions dead on, but I've got the temperature nob turned all the way down 145 degrees, but my temp is rising to over 190. The fan does turn on, but when I...

Changed fuel pump now car won't start?

I agree with Roland69. Check the lines going to the fuel tank, I replaced my pump, and got the same exact problem only mine ran for a whole day, then it just died in the driveway (lucky me). After going through some checks on jrichter's list, I decided to just check the lines, and one was not...

Any proven E-fan controllers besides DCC?

I'm going to get a dccontrol.com integral fan, and have had all my emails answered by Brian in a timely manner. Brian was very helpful in my first email and stated it would be two to three weeks for the fan delivery which is pretty good. Hope everyone has cooled down so we can get back to...

    Overheat.....problem....

Absolutely get a mechanical guage, and make sure your radiator is clean inside, and out. Did the guage just go up when you put the new fan in? Maybe your idle being to high is a vacuum leak. Good luck to you.

    How warm do you run?

I also live in Maryland, and I use a mechanical temp guage and a 180 high flow t-stat with my stock housing. Last summer after installing the new motor while moving it runs around 180-185 in hot weather, but come to a stop for a while and it creaps up to 200-210 degrees. I am going to go to a...

Plug.... what is it for.... and tps question

Just my two cents, but I think the tps should be set as close to 1.0 volts with the car on, but the engine not running. Try that and see if it clears your code. Good luck.

    temper temper!!!!!!

I have a 306 also, with a 3row ford radiator, 180 t-stat, stock fan and shroud, and cobra water pump pulley. My temperature runs around 175 while moving, and also creaps up to 200+ when sitting in traffic on a warm day. I got a lot of great feed back in the past about this, and everyone seemed...

    couple of questions

your fuel pressure regulator hose goes to one of the small metal hose fittings at the back of the upper intake manifold. There should be 2, and a big one. I don't think it matters which one, the other small one should have a long black plastic tube connected to it running over to the passenger...

Engine barely starts, bogs, and dies. HELP

Hey guys, I checked for voltage at the relay, fuel pump, and the inertia switch, and everything looks good. The fuel pump comes on good, but if I just turn the key to on, I hear the pump prime, but when I look at the fuel pressure guage it reads 0lbs. Is this right, will it only read pressure...

Engine barely starts, bogs, and dies. HELP

Got a big big problem. Went for a ride today, and everything was fine, got home to back up in the driveway, and the motor just died. When I try to restart it, it takes a while like it either starved for fuel, or flooded. It just pops and sputters similar to backfire. If I keep pumping the...

    Fan + Underdrives = Overheat?

I like to see mine run around 180* too. Sounds like it might be air in the system, you could try parking on a big hill, open the radiator, and start it, and see if it sucks the radiator dry, and then refill it to see if that works. Just throwing it out there. I'm fighting to keep mine around...

    Causes of OIL in ant-freeze?

Monte87- I've got little black particles floating around in my radiator to, and there is an oily substance on the underside of my radiator cap too. I didn't think that it might be oil, because It isn't a lot at all. I just put AFR 165's on with new FELPRO head gaskets. I double checked all...

Which crank pulley to use, and what fan, still a little hot?

Thanks TheUser. I didn't know the Mark VIII fan pulled 4000 cfm, that sounds like just the ticket. Is the Mark VIII fan what I think it is, a fan off the Lincoln Mark VIII car, or is it an after market fan like the Black Magic. Is that a hard fan to install if I find it off a wrecked Mark...

changed plugs and oil, have some questions.

How old is your x-pipe? May be just normal wear and tear. Was it a backfire, or just sound like rumble out the tail pipes. Mine makes a rumble sound when I down shift sometimes, and I've heard others do the same thing. Good luck..
