Lincoln LSC rear end swap? Will it work?

The Lincoln rear is 1.250" wider per side than a mustang rear axle. The housings are the same but the axles are longer. Depending on your wheels they may stick out.

Post your pics of Mad Maxed, Rat Rodded, Beaters, Apocalyptic Stangs

The rear wheels are 17x9 +35 (6.42 b.s., same as the m179 cobra R). I had to roll the lips alot to get them to fit. You might squeeze a 10" wheel under there with a button head bolt for the rear of the cradle but it would be a custom built wheel. The rear is an '04 unit, you can use an 8.8...

Post your pics of Mad Maxed, Rat Rodded, Beaters, Apocalyptic Stangs

Sorry guys, I was outta town all weekend, they are 962's. I don't think they are available in silver anymore, just gold or gunmetal. I had to make some center caps, the originals had some Asian looking stuff on them. Mine are blank.

    Chin Spoiler for a fox?

Actually 5.0 Resto is less than 45 min. away from me. I've seen the car in person a few times, and I asked them what it was. They even told me how to do it. It is a Mach 1 spoiler. There was an add on spoiler from Ford Motorsport back in the day for '84's.

    Chin Spoiler for a fox?

It will fit, but like stated above you will have to use a heat gun or cut notches in the mounting flange to get it to curve around the edges. If you can find a pic of 5.0 Resto's white 4 eye it has one on it.

has anyone ever used these gauge clusters

I don't like them, they look cheap to me. If I were to buy one I'd go for the MC machine one. http://www.mc-machine.com/87dash/87dash.htm As far as installation, it's pretty easy. If you are going electrical you can splice everything in to the factory harness, change the sender and you're...

79-86 Interior shots, what you got??

The panel itself is actually made out of aluminum with threaded spacers that go back to the tabs that information center originally bolted to. I countersunk the screw holes on the panel so I could epoxy the carbon fiber over them so it would match the dash.

79-86 Interior shots, what you got??

The cage is a Comp engineering kit, it comes with a main hoop and a bunch of tubes that are fishmouthed on one end and you cut the other end to fit. I haven't messed with mounting the shifter because I just threw an empty block with the trans on it to mockup all my turbo stuff. Then I'm...

79-86 Interior shots, what you got??

I still have some more things to do, I made some panels to replace the information center & ash tray with a switch panel and another panel for my boost controller & gauge, I should have it in the car this weekend (along with the shifter). I'm still missing a couple of interior pieces, and I'd...

i used to love this car, for fans of rally or ford

I've seen that car, it's in Vegas. English Fords are pretty cool, there's alot of stuff that they have that never made it over here. Even the Escort over there was turbo & all wheel drive for a while. My wife's aunt married an Englishman and we go over there to visit them sometimes. There's...
