Aftermarket fuel and speedo gauge install

If it's a mechanical speedo it will work The Autometer speedo is threaded unlike the Ford speedo, but you can press the cable on there and it will stay. The shaft on the end of the cable fits the Autometer speedo. I used the front piece as well, here's a pic of it in the car: I still have...

Why don't they just change the name to "4.6 Mustangs and Fast Fords"!!

I used to suscribe to MM&FF and 5.0 but I let my subscriptions lapse. I don't own a new edge or s197 nor do I wish to. I have two foxes and wouldn't trade either one of them for a newer Mustang. On the other hand I can't say I blame them for lack of Fox coverage, the newer cars are the hot...

Aftermarket fuel and speedo gauge install

http://www.flemworld.com/Hto/gauges.html This helped me, it's not a direct plug in but it's pretty easy to splice all the wires into the factory harness. I couldn't use the factory cluster like in the link because I'm using the 5" gauges.

    New Door Handles

Be careful when the rivet pops not to scratch the door. I've seen it happen more than once.

    Gauge cluster swap ?

You can send your existing speedo to BBK and they can reface & recalibrate it to 140 if that's the reason you're wanting to do the swap. If you're doing the swap for the looks, then you'll have to switch the sender in the tank to an '87 up one and wire up the volt gauge (instead of amps). I...

    Picked up some halo's.......

There is a catch inside the seat that hold the headrest in place. If you open the seat cover and run your hand up the metal frame in the seatback you'll feel it. I moved the headrest up& down a few times to feel it latch&unlatch and to feel the general location, then stuck a screwdriver in it...

You have to narrow the Escort shaft to use them in a Mustang seat.

    Foxbody Cage Pics(Post Some Pics)

It's kind of a pain, but if they are too low the cage won't be legal. You could do a swing out door bar, but I don't know about the legality of them for road racing.

Fuel supply (injection to carb) ???

Run a return style regulator and you should be ok for a while. Sooner or later the pump may die because you are deadheading it against the regulator, but then again I've known people that have run this way for years.

goin to the junkyard tomorrow have some questions

Spindles aren't that fun trying to take off in the junkyard, especially if the car you're trying to snag them from is sitting on top of another car! I would have looked for another car, but people buy them up to flip them on ebay or whatever for $150-$200 so they are kind of hard to come by...

    Green foxes

I haven't started yet, but my '86 coupe is going to be a teal color. I actually bought the paint for another car but wound up selling it. I figured I'd go ahead and use it, it was over $500 for a gallon so I don't want it to go to waste. Here's a pic of a valve cover I painted with it:
