    Tire Blowout!

I don't see how you could expect them to do anything, it's probably just something you hit in the road. The dealer won't cover that, it's on you.

    Tire Blowout!

I had the same thing happen with my stock 18's, the tread did the exact same separation, only it was the rear driver. They only see usage 3-4 months a year since when I know it won't snow I run the 20's, so probably the same thing as what happened to yours from sitting so long.

    Rear Gears

I'm not set on any brand, i was just trying to find out if they were any good or if they had a bad whine lol I'm open to any brand, and like I said if Ford made a 3.90, it would already be in the mail. Oh, and I have a Borla exhaust, and where I set my cruise on the highway, that 150 RPM...

    Rear Gears

Well yes, but I've driven an S197 with the stock 18's and 4.10's and hated not having a useable 1st gear and there is no way I could stand that RPM on the highway for 200+ miles. And I'm getting a blower in less than a year, so 4.10's aren't even an option just because of that.

    Rear Gears

For the rear, I'm already at $350 per tire, but the size I have now fills the wheel well nicely, so I don't want to change the tire size. Plus I swap back to the stock 18's during winter for better traction in the snow and there's no way I could stand 4.10's with those. So, unless anybody can...

    2001 convertible help

You might want to re-post this to the SN95 section, you'd be more likely to get help there than this 2005-2012 section.

    Rear Gears

Oh no, I have nothing against FRPP stuff. In fact, most of my future mods are all FRPP, I'm just thinking I'd like that little extra kick down low, since I run a slightly larger diameter tire on my street tires. Plus, that little extra gear would help get the cams into the power band a hair...

    Rear Gears

Yeah, that's true, it is pretty subjective. I guess I just don't want anything that will make people I drive by look at my car and wonder what the f**k is wrong with it lol. If it's got a VERY slight wine, I'll take that for the extra gear to help the cams, but if it's pretty noticeable, then...

    Rear Gears

That's what I did, I did the search and it only brought up for the Ford 9" rear. Maybe the search is messed up on the site. So the Richmond's are noisy? I'm curious, how noisy are we talking for Richmond, Motive, etc? All I've ever driven have FRPP gears and it sounds stock. If by "noisy"...

    Rear Gears

I checked their website and they didn't have any ring and pinions listed for S197 stangs. Are they listed somewhere else?

    Rear Gears

Well yes, i've researched this plenty lol i know FRPP gears are least likely to whine and that Motives can be a little noisy. However, the reason i asked is that I've seen zero reviews of Richmond gears in S197's, so i was curious if anybody here had experience with them and could tell me what...

Installing Twin Turbos on an Already Supercharged Cobra

I've seen setups like that before, they are really impressive!

    Rear Gears

Is there a reason? I mean, I'm cool with people saying "go with the FRPP" but if you can't give a reason why the Richmond or Motive gears are bad, then I don't see how we can base this entirely on what brand it is. Basically, if you're gonna say that FRPP is the brand I should stay with...

    Rear Gears

Lol I'm in college, it's a 230-240 mile drive each way when I want to go home and my stang is my college car. So yeah, when I said long highway trips, I meant LONG trips lol.

    3.55 in my v6?

False. They can't void your entire warranty because of an aftermarket part. They can only refuse to make the repair under warranty if they can show that what you added caused the problem.

    Rear Gears

Gman-By long highway trips, I mean 200+ miles. I've driven S197s with the 4.10's and it's just not what I want for long stints on the highway. Mr-Thanks for the review. I've heard of people racing with them and saying they hold up extremely well and are very durable, i just didn't know if...

    Rear Gears

I'm looking for new gears for my stang, I do a LOT of long highway trips with it, so I'm looking for a nice mix of performance and daily. I don't think 3.73's would be enough to keep me happy, but 4.10's I know are more than I want when on the highway. That being said, i found a 3.89 ring...

Anybody tear that underhood stuff out?

From what I've read, it helps keep the heat from the engine damaging the paint on the hood. I have no idea how true that is, but it's what I've seen others say. And i love my car too much to find out for myself lol.

    06 GT Rolled into street

Mine doesn't hold the vehicle on really ANY incline, it's the worst parking brake I've ever seen on a car. ALWAYS leave it in gear.
