Car smells like a two stroke engine (gas)

I have a similar issue with my new 351w, and this is an interesting note. Even though my exhaust exits the pipe 2" past the rear valance, I wonder if my poorly fitted deck lid and old weatherstripping seal is letting a lot of fumes into the car?

    quick bolt question

Is it a Ford Racing flywheel? As strange as it sounds, those bolts are most likely metric size. I suggest you contact the flywheel manufacturer to confirm the bolt size.

    Dual electric fans?

I got my dual fans from Universal Parts, Inc on Ebay. I actually just contacted them via phone and had a custom fan and shroud setup made without going through Ebay. They turned around everything in about a week and a half. LINK: Universal Parts, Inc

    Need a new shifter boot

Here's my shift boot installed with ReenMachine's console version shift handle. I installed part of a rubber shift boot underneath the leather outer boot. I cut the top square off of this rubber boot to fit my shifter handle shaft. Then, I used this leather outer shift boot that I...

    Clutch recommendation for 450fwhp engine

I purchased my trans & clutch from Modern Driveline, too. For my 400+ hp, 351w Bruce also recommended the kevlar/kevlar clutch, which is what I purchased. I'm very happy with the performance... it's both strong and smooth, no chatter at all. The clutch is from http://www.superiorclutch.com/

If you're looking for a single suspension modification to improve ride quality, you'd be much better off purchasing roller spring perches. OpenTracker roller perch link

    Oil Pan?

I bought a 7qt Canton road road pan for my 351w, and there are no clearance problems. The road race pan has baffles and it doesn't hang very low... it's more wide than low. I got mine from streetortrack.com

upper control arms - GW vs TCP (rod end vs. del-a-lum bushing)

I could be wrong, but I believe the 67-68 Mustangs do not need the dropped UCA arm moved back, only the 65-66 cars need the lower holes to be moved back a bit. Can someone confirm/deny this note?

    Fabbed valve cover for SBF?

I like Auto Works Racing covers, but for any of those covers you'd still need to fabricate a oil fill/breather hole, including a baffel. Are there any plain aluminum covers that include oil fill/breather holes out there?

Battery tray & apron delete idea (pics)

I deleted my battery tray fender apron with a piece of sheetmetal, and I agree the completely smooth metal looked a little plain. To break up the look of flat sheet metal I installed a stainless steel access panel, which houses a relay panel for headlights, electric fans and driving lights.

    JMC HYDRAULIC CLUTCH QUESTIONS

Hydraulic TO bearing Yep, I just installed a McLeod TO bearing, and it works great. Bleeding was simple, but I used a Mityvac, which may have simplified process. Here are links to both the bearing and Mityvac: http://www.mcleodind.com/product_guide.html...

Anyone with the JME Instrument Cluster in a '68?

I have a JME guage set in my 67. It's definitely a quality piece. However, if I were to do it again, I would build it myself. My biggest challenge was wiring it to a new Painless harness (that was modified). So it did not plug right into my custom wiring. The other minor negative note...
