    Hi.

Good to see there are still a few old timers around. :)

    Yet another gas mileage ????

Up to 400+ per tank. I averaged around 280. With looooong trips, all highway, and driving like a granny, you can see some impressive mpg figures. Best I saw was 31.2 at moderate temperatures and with no wind. City driving, the best I averaged was probably around 260.

    Home Made RAI... HOLY ****!!!

I managed to fabricate a 'ram air' setup on my car that was almost totally undetectable unless you knew it was there, and for about $3.00 in parts. That was the exciting part. The performance gains were non-existent. I felt like at higher speeds (130+) that it might help, but other than for...

    03 Cobra vs. Mach 1

I've driven both and spent a lot of time around both. Cobras have killer power and good looks but I can't get over the weight, IRS, and quality issues. My next Mustang will likely be a Mach. With gears and bolt-ons, not much is going to touch you in a 1/4 or less sprint.

Results from T&J dyno tune (bolt ons).

Yeah those are solid numbers, one thing you have to consider is the 4.10's are masking some power on the dyno, so it may have been closer to 260 rwhp if you had stock 3.27's in there. My car with an O/R X, catback, and pullies/TA made 260 rwhp/303 rwtq, bone stock intake tract, even the paper...

    Keene Bell vs Whipple

Kenne Bells are basically the same as the Whipple blowers. Different case designs, few minor things. Kenne Bell does not make a roots blower. They make a twin screw which is a positive displacement, but not 'roots'. Saleen and Roush use the same blowers but they are not made by either...

    NO2 Question

Well you actually missed a couple things. The remote bottle opener isn't gonna do anything for safety, either. A fuel pressure switch and WOT switch are also basic safety items.

Why not get Pulley's in Desert Climates

I wouldn't listen to them. I live in arid semi-desert, and drove my car around a lot when the weather was 100-110+ on plenty of occasions. Usually when I was cruising around back home I was driving it hard, although not sitting in traffic (since we have none). I would have no reservations...

Does any one have 4.10's and know the top speed?

I hit a hair over 160 DTC indicated, so no speedo error. I had 260 rwhp/303 rwtq, and it took probably 4 miles or so to reach that speed, and that was coming from 145 or so. Held it at top speed for about ten miles (only about 3 1/2 minutes or so) and then dropped back to cruise at 145. So...

    GM Synchromesh w/3650

I ran it in mine for a few thousand miles. Never noticed a difference.

    Muffler poll. READ BEFORE VOTING!

Maybe the poor sound beneath 3k is a function of the cats somehow? I wouldn't think so, but with the packs and the Magnaflow O/R pipe, my car didn't sound like that. Sounded very deep and smooth beneath 3k and then screamed to the gods above that. I'm gonna miss how great that car sounded...

REAL cold air intake. Call me crazy

I made a really sweet setup by myself, and it cost me around $10. I used some shelving brackets, bolts, washers, and some e-z nuts to create the bracketry. Surprisingly enough there are very easy mounting points already pre-existing to carry this out. I then took the bottom piece of a...

How many miles per tank do you get?

'02, 5 spd, 87 octane. Up to 400 miles on the highway, getting good mileage. Usually get 25ish on the highway buy have seen a tad over 30, but usually 28 on most occasions when I am trying to extract max mpg. In town, usually 280 miles or so for a tank.

Being away for a while kills the battery?

Optimas are good batteries, I prefer them, but like all batteries you can get a dud. Leaving a battery connected in any vehicle for long periods of time will drain it, some worse than others depending on the health of the battery and the health of all exposed connections as well as switches.

Just Picked up an 03 Cobra.. What should i do to it?

Have work done to the trans, install 26 spline input shaft, get new clutch etc. Ditch the IRS, pick up a built solid axle setup. Tubular K-member up front Ditch the front and rear seats, put in some decent lightweight seats. With those done at least you will have something that won't have...

Disconnecting Seatbelt Chime for 2002 GT

The procedure isn't a joke. I used this procedure and it worked like a charm, I wear my seatbelt religiously but if me or someone else is sitting in the car while it's running and without belts, the chime is annoying.

    Official seat search.

I don't know why everyone likes the '03 Cobra seats. I HATE them. The passenger seat is alright, but in the driver seat even with the side bolsters all the way out, it is very restrictive and uncomfortable for me. Not to mention I bet they are some of the heaviest seats out there.

Would you trade an 02 for an 04?????

Bad idea. New cars are always great and it's understandable that you have grown bored with the one you have... But 'only' 6 more months and 'only' $70 more per month is not something I would just brush off. Pay off your current car, that's the best advice I can give.
