    Well... you run the risk of it really absorbing into the filler and cause the paint to bubble when applied. If the spots were just roughly shaped in I'd say sand it and try it. But if the areas were close to being done and about 1/16 to 1/8" thick, then Id' say sand it down and start over...

    To run a forum such as Vintage-Mustang forum costs Bob about $12-$14k a year. Stangnet is considerablly larger, especially if you consider the parts site, i'm guessing more like $20-$25k a year.     I posted these with the large pictures so you could easily see everything in the picture without it becomming pixelized. I must have my resolution set a lot higher than you guys. I have a 15" monitor on my laptop and the pcitures show up on the entire window without scrolling.

    I haven't had that issue. I would leave the lead areas alone as much as possible. It's a better base than body putty.

    Do it... I agonized over it for months for my coupe.. I'm definitely glad I did it (make sure you get the original style pedestal mounts that are cast and don't get the cheap ones made of plastic. They break really easy!)
