    differential and axles

Dave, at the ETs and Speeds you car is capable of you need the long studs and open lugs to be legal (front and rear). if you track is lax in tech then you may get through... if you want to run FFW or NMRA, you'll flunk and go back on the trailer until you fix it. Slider, tell them you saw the...

    differential and axles

the Auburn is garbage, you'd grenade it on DRs before you know what happened. the Eaton/Superior package from DTD is a good deal. its like $559 for the diff, axles, axle bearings, axle seals, and (useless with Welds) stock length wheelstuds. a spool is over kill unless you launch at 6k+...

anyone see any gains from the C&L maf to T.B. inlet tube

no freakin' way. if someone installed pulleys and t/a at once then 15~20 (max) rw might be possible, but not with t/a alone. he inlet pipe is a waste n/a. spend you money somewhere else instead. -Mike

    Drag suspension

everything on you list is good stuff except for the anti-roll bar... its overkill right now. do go with the adjustable QA1 shocks, they rock. if your staying n/a get 4.30s instead of 4.10s. if you want a proven drag suspn combo click the link in my sig and copy it... it works. -Mike

    front suspension problem?

outside edge wear is normal with Mustangs and Fox chassis in general. best thing you can do is have the camber set to -1.00* and the toe set to +.13" (+.25*), and rotate the tires every other oil change. beyond that, there really isnt anything that will slow the wear down. -Mike

    Things I learned From Stangnet.

wanna know what works? pulleys, t/a, o/r pipes, 4.30 gears, suspn that suits your needs (drag or handling). thats it. if you want to go further then get a Bullitt Intake, LTs, cams, custom tune, aluminum f/w, aluminum d/s, cut weight. most (if not all) of the mods you see in magazine ads...

those who removed silencer and then got CAI...

you could look at your local dump... most people that waste money on them (any CAI) wind up tossing them in the trash after thier car goes slower. there is NO power to be had in a CAI, its only good for looks. -Mike

    Need help with front end!!

you said you have new tires so you can rule them out. if your rims were bent the tire shop (id assume) would let you know about it when they do the balancing so you can rule them out too. now, if the tire shop put the lugs on too tight that could cause a nasty shaking issue. then factor in...

    whats up with my car

check to make sure your trans fluid is full... and check the color and smell of it too. if its a nasty brown color and smells 'burnt' then try having it flushed. if topping off and/or flushing the fluid dosent help its probably time for a overhaul. -Mike

Are '94-'98 seat tracks the same as '99-'04?

the manual track will work but you'll have to drill a hole to mount the seat belt latch on the trans tunnel. on the newer cars the seat belt mount is part of the seat track. -Mike
