Summit Carb dual fuel line Leak!!!!!!!!!

Just put one on and had the same problem, flare fitting on the chrome line leaked at the rear carb inlet. Took it apart 4 times and finally just decided to put a wrench on the brass inlet and another on the line fitting and give it a good hard turn to tighten. Viola, the leak quit.

    Input on 347 combo...

Im not a fan of the pro comp heads unless theyve been gone thru by a competent head shop. I ran a 347 with eldelbrock performer rpms and a comp 274HR cam and it was an animal.

    Master Cylinder Suggestions

If the 68-70 spindles do have the same geometry issues the bump steer kit wont help. I had granada spindles with a baer tracker bump steer kit on my 65 and the car was a death trap, It scared the bejezus out of me. I sent the spindles to the scrap yard to save someone elses life and bought 65...

I need some honest advice for T5

In my 65 I dont need to pull the transmission but I have to drop the tail of it to get to all 4 bolts, then I can finesse it up thru the hole in the tunnel. If you have no issues with changing the size of the hole in your cars floor it would be easily accessable from inside the car.

I need some honest advice for T5

Power doesnt matter when it comes to the shifter, its how hard you pull the lever. I bent my shift fork when the transmission was behind a stock 5.0 hitting second leaving my house. Treat it nice when you shift and it will return the favor.

I need some honest advice for T5

A very common cause for T-5 failures is bending the shift forks from making hard shifts. One The very best things you can do to save a T-5 is buy an aftermarket shifter with adjustable stops to prevent this. I learned this the hard way...lol As previously stated, getting rid of the aluminum...

    Tires for 17's on a 65

I had 245 45's mounted on 17x8's on all 4 corners, with trimmed front fender lips they still rubbed. I ended up having the front wheels narrowed to 7" and went with 205/50s in front. It looks great and the car tracks amazingly better with a narrower tire in front, I have no regrets. The 245's on...

    Drip Rail Molding Install

Ive been working on vintage mustangs since 1983 and have never found anybody who could get repop drip rail moldings on and be satisfied with them. On my current car I tried 2 different sets, destroyed on set and got the second on the car but looked horrible so I tossed them in the trash too. I...

Tire Age: Safety Hazard - Excessive Paranoia - or Sales Promo

From the day the tires come out of the mold they begin to deteriorate, doesnt matter if theyre on a car or not. Exposure to atmospheric conditions all work against a tires lifespan even when stored on a rack. Although I agree a tire thats been sitting in a store for a few years is still safe to...

    Electrical issue..flashing headlight

Change the headlight switch! The headlight switch carrys the entire load and is the most common cause of flashing lights. If you really want to do yourself a favor, put the headlights on a relay. You gain 2 things, first obviously is the load being removed from the switch but a side benefit is...

Rubbing doesn't really do this justice

You'll never center the wheel in the wheelwell on a 65, Ive had 3 and all of them had the wheel in a similar position and not even close to enough adjustment to center it. That being said, those wheels/tires stick out too far, I was able to run 245/17's mounted on 8 inch late model mustang...
