66 swerves BAD under heavy throttle!

I had 245/45 17's on all 4 corners of my 65 and it was a handfull! I went to a narrower tire in front and the problem is gone, it made an amazing difference.

    Inner fenders

I had considered finding a set of junkyard plastic inner fenders and cutting them to fit. I think done right it would look good, cut down on road noise and eliminate the risk of fender damage from stones thrown up from the tires.

    coupe to convertible conversion?

Mustangs plus also used to sell a retractable hardtop kit, as well as the ronster. The ronster didnt have a top, just a fiberglass filler to cover the rear seat area. Ive never seen either anywhere but in their catalog pics

    17x8 wheels up front??

Im running Stock 2001 17x8's with 245/45's all the way around, no spacers. The front of the drivers fender rubs when backing out of my driveway, but thats it! I have wilwood discs in front ( 1/2") more track width, and a '67 9" rear(1" wider track each side). I did need to grind the uca's for...

5.0 throttle plate in 66 coupe

It should pull relatively close to 90 degrees open. Do you have the cable attached to the throttle body correctly? Also on 65-66 cars you cannot use the EGR block because the air intake will contact the shock tower. Since the EGR block houses the cable mount, I ended up making my own bracket for...

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

If youve got enough caster the roller idler will be no problem, with stock alignment specs it may not return to center as well.

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

From what I understand TCP and RRS are as close to "right" as you'll get , but both are pretty expensive too. Go with a randalls rack or a steeroids, and if you get a big enough tire on it you wont have to worry about the rack limiting turning radius..LOL

    Building a 331: periodic update

You lost me, my Scat/eagle/SRP 331 is balanced to a 50oz late model balancer and flywheel. I was told specifically that it was built externally balanced and if you wanted to use 28 oz or 50 oz it had to be rebalanced, however I was also told it takes alot less material removal for 28 oz compared...

    Building a 331: periodic update

It has to come apart!! All of the rotating assembly, crank, rods ,pistons rings, bearings, flywheel and harmonic balancer need to go to the shop thats balancing it. Without balancing that motor will shake itself apart and the best harmonic balancer on earth isnt going to help it.
