You still believe that BON article, huh?
Just to try and put some of this "DELAY" rumor to bed. My delearship which I ordered my car from in June has always told me middle of October.
No Legitmate source I can find has said the 2005 Mustangs will be at dealers this Friday. Mixing false information with true information is one way rumor mongers start rumors.
I truely don't think any resonable person was expecting their car today. Noone Im aware of has received a schedule delivery date from their dealer, everyone Im aware of delivery date still list TBD.
The special trailer makes this sound more like some special event than a delivery.
The new Mustangs like all new cars before them will most likely come via the regular transport method.
mat0045 over on the Forums at Brad's Mustang Source had this to say about our friend PerformanceRed's spotting of the new 2005 Mustangs at Herb Chambers Ford.
"I just got off the phone with the inventory managers out at Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree *and* Westbrough. They have not recieved...
A dozen compleatly flys in the face of all established fact on the distribution of the New 2005 Mustangs.
For the record that established fact was initial allocation was 2 per dealership, large dealerships getting 4.
I dont believe this. Post pictues.
And in the meantime they will sell the car to someone else. BTW, I have 2001 Mustang and I have worked on my door hinges for sqeeks and the paint there is just as lusterous as the rest of the car.
This doesn't make sense to me. This seems like something that Ford would have taken care of before the car went into production. After all what sense does it make building thousands of automobile if they wont pass inspection.
It clearly states in the Order Guide under "Major Product Changes" the red leather option
Interior Color Accent Package
* Dark Charcoal Interior with Dark Charcoal Carpet
* Red sport bucket leather front and rear seating surfaces with red front door trim inserts and red floor mats (Requires...
Looks to me like a post comes thru the bottom of the console which a nut runs down to secure the console to the floor. With a small bit of red paint on the top of the it for some reason.
I take "5-speed" to mean Manual Transmission.
On the 2005 both the manual and the automatic are 5 speeds.
We need to adjust how we talk about these cars just a bit.
In the past we could say "5-speed" and everyone would know we meant the Manual because the automatic was 4 a speed.
After the counter reaches 0 it will show the time till midnight Sept 7th 2005. At that point the counter will be useless unless another anticipated date comes to light.
