    I'd change it out. 18 months is a pretty long time depending on which oil was in there. There's nothing wrong with your oil and filter choices. 5W-20 is the recommended weight and that's going to be fine in Texas. You'll see a lot of guys move to 5W-30 for a variety of reasons.

    The lower you go, the more stuff you're going to need. I wouldn't do it without more stuff than lowering springs, but that may be just me.

    :nice: Nice ride!!! Mine is still in hibernation probably until the end of the month. You're braver than me. With that snow around there's bound to be some salt still remaining. I'm waiting for the full thaw and 2" rain before I'm opening that garage door.

    Yes. You should get it done. You should have it aligned when the lowering is done and then once it settles. My cambers went to a -.9 and a -1.3 after it settled. They wanted them at -.8 or -.9. Edit: I'm not saying it's "mandatory", but it's something you should do...

    265/35/18 all the way around. I see what you mean. I'm guess it has to do with the angle of the pic and/or my black rims. I think the isolater made 1/4" - 1/2" difference, but can't remember. After consulting a few who went to the Sportlines, I just decided to leave the isolaters...

    As far as I know, once you start getting to the 2" drop range, you need to start adding parts. Stuff like ball joints, bumpsteer kit and CC plates. There's probably more stuff you can add - as there is with any mod. You also need the initial allignment and then get an additional allignment...

    I didn't get the isolaters, but did get new ball joints and a bumpsteer kit. I realize it's just a plain old GT, but it's a work in progress. It doesn't get driven too much and I'm not much in a hurry for the bigger upgrades.
