    About that time...

As soon as I get my money from my tax returns I'm gonna FINALLY get my supercharger rebuilt to go on my 331. Right now I'm just doing a 125 shot of nawzz. I should be getting my wheels and tires here soon, as well as my seats. And I'm almost ready to do gears. I have everything I need and...

    For a self-tuner...

I'd definitely rather start out with an H/C/I combo than a turbo combo. It's a lotttt easier to mess things up with a FI combo than a NA combo. H/C/I combos are nothing to tune I started with a supercharged combo w/ meth injection and somehow managed not to blow a headgasket...luck I...

aode needs another rebuild after 1year/10k miles

An automatic can be made to hold wayyy more power than your average manual. If I were you I'd find someone who has a very reputable reputation for building trannies. The AODE's aren't really that bad to rebuild....not something I'd rec. doing yourself though. Find someone that has proven...

    Tired of helping people!!!!!

ha, try being in 2 Ford clubs and working at a shop that predominately works on Fords.....That doesn't work out too well. Really though I've never had a problem with anyone that I've helped. If I know the person well I'll usually do it mostly free of charge..if not just for some beer or food...

95 svt rear caliper rebuild or replace?

For the sake of doing things professionally and for piece of mind, just go up to where you got your parts and tell them it didn't come with it.

95 svt rear caliper rebuild or replace?

huh? if you're doing outer tie-rod ends all you do is take it off the knuckle (the part that has the big nut with a pin through it). After you do that you can move it out the way. There's a jam nut on the end of the tie-rod end. Break that nut loose and stop RIGHT after it gets broke loose...

lil legal question for you guys

exactly, no one was hurt which is awesome. End of story there... I was actually driving right beside him when it happened. The officer straight up said that this guy was not legal to drive...yet let him drive away...I remember the one time I was caught and I didn't have my license (left it on...

lil legal question for you guys

I know this can be different state to state but here goes: My friend was driving and was involved in a wreck that could have gone both ways depending on who tells the story (can't they all). In my eyes I believe both parties are at fault. Here's the kicker...my friend has insurance on his...

1995 302 battery light on low out put from alternator

That's great news man! That fuse not being there will def. cause a no charge issue.....that seems kinda fishy to me though...someone had to have taken it out for some reason  Me thinks someone somehow had an accident while trying to change your balancer. If you have any other...

1995 302 battery light on low out put from alternator

no problem at all...always better to research and diagnose rather than throw parts at it. Being that it started messing up after someone worked on it it's possible the alternator lead somehow touched ground (though I don't know how it would do that since you don't need to take the alternator...

    Lower intake is leaking!!

if it's a threaded hole then it was for a knock sensor (that didn't come on our cars) If you're talking about the one with the plug in it then I couldn't tell you...I'd imagine it's just a regular old freeze plug  maybe someone else on here knows?

1995 302 battery light on low out put from alternator

look at that...you didn't even have to search :D JT: I always recommend your info to peeps. I couldn't tell you how many times I've searched through the forums trying to find information to get me back on the road when I first started messing with cars...only to come upon your old posts. That...

    belt snapped

just get a tighter belt and you should be good. Orrrrr, you could get a smog delete pulley. I believe that would be your best bet as you would still get proper belt wrap on the alternator. The tensioner would love you for it, too.

1995 302 battery light on low out put from alternator

Check and double check all your connections If you have any powdercoating on your brackets, sand it off where the alternator meets. Check your fusible links in the alternator to battery power wire do a search and you'll find some great information by JT (hissin50)

    Tech Tips

revhead hit the nail on the head on this one. Good info. Another thing most people don't mention in write-ups... anytime you have a bolt that requires a certain torque..always clean the threads on the bolt, the threads in the block (or whatever you're screwing into), and always clean the...

yeah, you're in the clear on that one. Good job paying attention to the gauges

    belt snapped

If the smog pumps getting hard to turn and you don't use it...get rid of that thing. I'm not running a smog pump, but my belt size would be different than yours since I have a vortech bracket that repositions the alternator. Do a search for "Delete" and you should see a thread or two that has...

    Tech Tips

Great idea Grady :nice: 1. Always put teflon tape (or other form of thread sealant) on the bottom 5 head bolts/studs 2. ALWAYS put PB blaster or liquid wrench on bolts you think may be an issue and let them soak...it could say you a headache. 3. As simple as this sounds...use a torque...

    belt snapped

Look at the neck of the reservoir..right below the black cap. You will see a vent hole in the neck. As your coolant gets hotter it expands. Your coolant system can only hold so much water before it can't hold anymore. Since your system is already filled up...once the liquid starts expanding it...

    timing question

I'd have to agree with JT on this one. I believe you just got the timing slighty screwed up. Just reset the timing and retest. Take a silver marker as JT suggested or some white out and mark 10* BTDC (very important it's before top dead center and not after top dead center).
