    I'm orginally from MN and have lived in VT. I drove a 89 5.0 Vert through 2 MN and 2 VT winters and I've driven my 01 GT in a couple brief snow storms that we've had in VA since I got here. I usually don't have an issue..I'm more worried about the idiots in SUVs but at least the TC in the 01...

    There was a TSB for a valve guide issue with the 99+ 4.6. Had some of the same symptoms. Wonder if you have the same problems, but your's isn't covered under it.

    I'd like to think it's the sender or something along that line. Like I said, when the temp is above 40F there is no problem, but once the temp drops; that's when it rears its ugly head. Once the car warms up (2-3 minutes) it goes back to normal. Oil Level is good and there are no leaks...
