Drag Springs or NOT? With a scare story.

Yeah that's exactly what has happened to me. I was thinking about it more and it is cause of the tighter suspension and the mph that did that. Like you said just let off the gas and didn't even try to correct it all shifted back inline very quickly. Just a lesson under the belt without bad...

    H/C/I combo

That is bad ass... I need bigger exhaust right now to get me some more HP. The 1 5/8 headers need to go for some 1 3/4 headers. I hope I hit the 410-420RWHP range. I will see soon enough. What issue is that in?

    H/C/I combo

Well here are my numbers w/dyno sheet for a stock bottom end 302. I made 324.5 and I think I could have gotten to 340 or so with Stage III porting on the heads and some compression along with a better cold air intake.

No skinnies... not yet. Maybe never thinking of upgrading to some bigger brakes up front.

Drag Springs or NOT? With a scare story.

So in other words that softer suspension would have eaten that bump up and I may have not had that problem. It makes sense. I really can't corner the car anymore without tire rub from the 315's on the rear. Tough decision.

Drag Springs or NOT? With a scare story.

Well this kinda starts off me making a pass on a two lane road. Making lots of ponies comes with lots of responsiblity that almost bit me in my ass. So I was going 35 in a 55 behind this truck forever and as soon as all the winding curving roads stopped and I was allowed to pass I punched it...

VENT : I can't stand this shop sometimes

Dude do this. Call him when you are outside of the shop on your cell phone. Ask him what the state of the car is? Then walk in the front door a couple minutes later and demand to see the car and see if it is in the state he says it is. Then you know if he has been lying to you or not. BTW...

Wheel time: 10th Anniversary vs. '03 Cobras

Some Warrnings: That's what I did. They will rub. Don't get the bigger rims up front since they will rub on turns as well. Then you gotta put a 255 tire on it to make it look decent as well. You will have to pound in the inner wheel wells and I cut my exhaust since it was rubbing on...

    300 hp?

Uhm, cheaper is better right. FYI: You got yourself in a very expensive hobby. First thing you want to do before any mods is seriously figure out how much of an addict you are to speed and accelaration. That would have seriously saved me a ton of money. I guess if I were to do things...

    Intake Manifold

Been in your boat. First thing to realize is where you are going with your car. However, I don't see any reason for the RPM at all in your situation. In fact a street driven car likes yours would benefit greatly with all the extra TQ the performer will give you. However, if the next thing...

    Bellhousing help

B4 you buy a bellhousing I would considering dumping that t5. Only reason why I say that is when your t5 blows you will need a new bellhousing for a tremec tko or 3550 and you will be just spending extra money. BTW, I put a Lakewood under mine car with a tremec and it fit my alum sfi flywheel...

VENT : I can't stand this shop sometimes

You gotta say just kidding at the end cause if everyone in that shop is dead they will come looking for you. Don't use a credit card for gas on your trip out there . :D

Why are so guys running TFS Track Heats and Performer RPM intakes????

Uhm I had an Anderson ported Edelbrock Performer (not CNC) upper/lower sold that to my buddy. Now I got an RPMII I ported at home to match the heads.

Why are so guys running TFS Track Heats and Performer RPM intakes????

Hehhe.. :D It's not stock block at all (well it's a new 302 that was race preped). It's a DSS 331 stroker, Forged everything. Windage tray and girldle (main support), 7qt oil pan with hi flow pump, alum balancer and flywheel (take weight off rotating assembly). New AFM springs for the...

Why are so guys running TFS Track Heats and Performer RPM intakes????

Yeah but I had stock pistons underneath and probably not as much clearance as your buddies 306. Still making 325RWHP on a stock 302 is good in my book. Not many people see numbers like that.

Why are so guys running TFS Track Heats and Performer RPM intakes????

The Holley or the RPM II was the two I was considering. I went with the Edelbrock cause I already had an elbow for it. According to some dyno's I saw the RPMII was rated higher so I figured I couldn't go wrong. Everyone said one or the other. The problem with the RPMII I needed a new hood...
