    First to go from 315 rwhp to 390-400 rwhp is an increase of 75 to 85 HP. Lets say the 315 HP is at 6000 RPM that is 275.73 torque. If with heads and cams I can move that 275.73 torque to 7500 RPM I now will make 393.75 HP.

    Yes. As the clutch disc wears and becomes thinner the face of the pressure plate moves closer to the flywheel this causes the fingers to move out farther away from the flywheel.

    If you still have "About an inch of free play at the top", then it is still not adjusted correctly.

    Remember that fuel flow is based on pressure differential. So 60 psi fuel pressure with 14 psi boost is about the same as an N/A running 46 psi.

    Now if you slide a 5.4l in with these head, At 100% VE it will only need to turn around 6100 RPM to use 240 cfm and around 7600 RPM to use 300 cfm. Now both could be streetable. :D

    The original numbers from Trick Flow were 233/175 @ .500 241/177 @ .550 236/180 @ .600 as cast. Based on that you should see more than 257 from cnc porting.

    Cutting a spring does change its rate. The rate will increase. How much depends on how much is removed, how many coils the spring had to start with, and many other factors. How does this cause faster suspension wear?

    The number I saw were 241/177. For a 4.6l to be able to use this flow it will need to turn 7200-7400 RPM. Let me add a 5.4l will only need to turn 6100-6300 RPM.

    NO! That is not what I said. The 4v can make more HP but will not be as drive able. Some of us live in large city's and yes anything can be driven on the street. I drove my SBC with roller cam, and 5.86:1 rear on the street back in the '70s.

    If you are building an all out race engine the 4 v setup will be better. But if you are building a daily driver performance engine you are better off going the 2v routine. Bill your head port charges the same to do all that extra work that 4v's require? Double the amount of valve seats, valve...
