Could someone walk me through changing out the Differential on my 8"

You don't need to change bearings if they're good. If they're questionable I'd change them. It's going to take a press of sorts to get them off and on. Any machine shop can do it in about 10 minutes. Some autoparts store can do it for you also.

Anybody buy parts from "Street or Track"?

I've bought several things from them; from their adjustable strut rods to seats to AFR head ect. Very good service and prices. I'd definately recommend them.

    Oil question?

Why change? Which synthetic oil? Is it a true synthetic or blend? If it's a blend you can switch right over. I've heard some say on a synthetic, you need to change run it and then change it again.

    Holley Red under hood....bad idea?

I cooked two fuel pumps before I got mine low enought to work. One was even in the back, but still not low enough. It won't be a question of if it will fail but When. And Murphy will certainly rear his ugly head at the most inappropriate time.

    2500 RPM Engine knock

What's your timing set at? It sounds like predetonation under load (or pinging) Did you change the fuel? If it sat for a year or so, did you pre lube it? It could be a whole bunch of things, some good and easy to fix, and some baaaaad. The easiest being the fuel and timing. The bad being...

    Help with choosing heads

Mustangs and Fords or Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords did an excellent 5 or 6 part series a little over a year ago. They tried all the major players on 2 or 3 engine platforms. I've seen a link to it, but can't find it at the moment. AFR was almost always the clear winner.

    Need help with stroker build.

I clicked on his search url and found no results, so I'll give you my .02c opinion. Facts: I don't have a 351 stroked or not, but do have a 302 stroked to 331. Opinions: 1: If you're not doing the work yourself or have anybody you trust implicitly; buy a crate motor. There are several...

    Help with choosing heads

You're outta my league with those types of numbers, but my hp numbers are flywheel 416 @6150 rpm and rearwheel 331. The numbers are still climbing, but I don't think I have another 1100 rpm in there. I was only using about 500cfm of carb (outta 650). I don't have enough knowlegde in this...

    oil pump installation?

One thing that should be mentioned about the crossmember----be careful and don't snap the bolts off. If everything is original and thoses bolts have never been removed, there is a good chance they're rusted tight. If you break them off you got yourself a real buttache drilling and retapping...
