    WHICH Kumho TIRE???? ARG!!!!

I recommend: Sumitomo HTRZ II 245/45-17 Make sure that you get 245/45's NOT 245/40's. The 40's are the wrong tire diameter. They are about 1" smaller in diamter, and that will look like crap on your car. I have the Sumitomos in 18's, and they are a great tire for the price. They are...

I need help with taking out one weel lock...

I just borrowed one from a friend that had an older V6 stang. I was pretty surprised that it was the same. Since then, I have gotten rid of the wheel locks. They are too much hassle, and as you can see if a thief really wants your wheels he will probalby have no problem getting a key for them.

trac lock is shot! how to replace clutches??

1st, the differential does NOT need to be removed from the rearend. All of the work can be done with the differential still bolted in place, and thus thre is no need to worry about resetting up the gears. 2nd, you use the best 2 clutches out of all the old ones. There are several on each...

trac lock is shot! how to replace clutches??

There is no shimming of anything needed. You remove the spider gears from the differential, and pull out the old clutches. You simply take the new clutches and reinstall them in the same order as the stock ones. There are clutches and metal spacers/shims that come out, is this what you are...

how much to cut off my springs

Cutting off one coil will give you about 1.25" or so drop. It should look perfect like that. I did it to my front springs, and I had it like that for over a year with out any problems. I would not go more than 1 coil though. Any more and you start asking for trouble.

Is the prochamber really worth the extra $

Not IMO. I have it, don't get me wrong it makes power, but I think that the money would be better spent on a magnaflow or Dr. Gas X pipe that are made out of quality metal. My PC is cheap steal with a protective coating. The coating wore off all the welds and is rusting. It has done well for...

cheap MACH 1 chin spoilers??? anyone

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just picked up the chin spoiler from http://www.mustangtuning.com/ma1chsp.html for $59.99 shipped. It does not get cheaper than that. On top of that, they were very friendly and helpful. The whole thing only took me about 3 minutes to order over the...

    4:10's, 3:90's, or 3:73's

Daily driving with 4.10's is a lot of fun. The car "feels" like it has picked up 20+ hp, obviously it has not, but it feel that way. They only become a "problem" if you do a lot of highway driving. I drive about 75 to 80 mph on the highway and the 4.10's are right around 2800 to 2900 rpm...

Re & re rear axle: How big a job?

I pulled the whole thing to install all new bearings and seals, 4.10's, differential, axles, and new control arms (cost me about $1200 in parts, I did all the labor/installing). It just seemed easier to take it out to do all that stuff. To be honest taking the rear end out is actually pretty...

Lets say you had the chance to modd ur car again what would you do in order?

lowering srpings -> get rid of the 4x4 look midpipe/catback -> great power increase and got to have the mustang sound timing adjuster and underdrive pulleys -> great cheap power increase 4.10's -> they make a huge difference in performance lower control arms -> all that power is useless with...

    Door is not closing properly!

I figured out the problem, and it is actually the window that is causing the problem. What is happening is the window is going up to far, and this is causing it to push back against the door. It is this pushing against the window that is not allowing the door to shut properly. It seems that...

    Door is not closing properly!

I have not done anything to it lately. I have not been to the track since April, and I don't even drive the car much more than a few times a week, if I am lucky. It just started acting up a week or so ago. The car is a 2000 and it has seen a lot of hard miles. It sounds like it has just...

    Door is not closing properly!

Align it, huh, I will have to take a look at it. I never thought to see if it had become missaligned. I was thinking that the latch mechanism was mechanically screwed up. I will have to check it out tonight. Thanks for the info.

    Door is not closing properly!

Has any one had probelms with their doors not closing properly? My driver's side door has started acting up, and does not close properly unless I slam it shut. It keeps stopping in the half shut position (closed, but not closed all the way). It is very annoying to have to slam my door shut...
